Putin's invasion of Ukraine

His version of "Uh . . . what I meant was . . . see, what's really important is . . . hey! Look at this! Something shiny!"
That is what Sculptor's considers to be ''counterpoint,'' argument.

I know Sculptor has called Biden stupid a few times on this site, and was wondering if he had anything negative to say about Putin?
Is shelling cities and war crimes ''warmongering'' ??
I dislike crookedness and warmongers
My bold.

Well he said that "Gadaffi did a lot of good for his people"
So perhaps he can point to what good Putin has done for his people?

Well we know that Russia's wealth from its oil reserves would not exist save for their dear leader's prescience.

And he has kept the conscience of his adoring public clear by his clamp down on freedom of speech (see no evil ...etc)

He has provided the wider world evidence that peace and prosperity should not be taken for granted and have to be fought for and prepared for (si vis pacem pare bellum)

Thanks Puty Zelensky.

If we could somehow converse across sculpture, would it be weird to attempt to mitigate the effects of the sanctions by allowing the Russian (and Dombasian) population to apply for means tested welfare benefits.

The authorities there would prevent it but it might be a good propaganda attempt as money still talks and the message might get through.

Russia targeting evacuating civilians

https://www.bbc.com/news/live/world-europe-61032786
  1. Ukraine says at least 50 people are dead and dozens wounded after rockets hit a train station in the city of Kramatorsk in eastern Ukraine
  2. US President Joe Biden accuses Russia of carrying out the attack, describing it as a 'horrific atrocity'
  3. Thousands of people were at the station at the time as they fled Russian attacks, officials say
  4. Russia denies involvement, with a Kremlin spokesman saying its forces had no scheduled missions in the area

the west needs to immediately stop buy all Russian oil, gas & coal

the wests on going purchase of oil, gas & coal is funding the Russian military

Waiting for the usual suspects here to blame Zelensky for bombing it, or the refugees for breaking the rules and provoking the bombing.

this is what they used which shows they deliberately targeted the train station and reports of one of the missiles being shot down
possibly more than 1 rocket was shot down suggesting multiple rocket launch on a civilian evacuation point

The writing on the bombshell translates to; "FOR THE CHILDREN" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He is daring NATO and the United Nations. When will we start taking this psychopath Putin down?

putin can walk away clean from the war crimes because he can blame his military for it
but it now looks like systematic methodology all the soldiers doing the same thing
extermination of small groups & deliberate random shelling of large civilian groups

i think they deliberately targeted the civilians trying to evacuate to hold them in the conflict zone so they can invade and then use them as human shields

So this story claims that Ukranian Nazis are killing civilians, and the Russians are doing nothing but helping the poor Ukranians fighting for freedom against the Nazis. One quote: "if not for Russian assistance, they would be hungry and thirsty along with most of the children in the city."

This, interestingly, is identical to Putin's propaganda about the war. Also interestingly, one of the first hits on Google when you search "Truth11" is Wikipedia's article on fake-news websites.

Truth11 is a fascinating site. It has the following list of stories on its front page:

It has a video that "discusses the fascist police state [in the US] that surrounds us and is a wake up call for some to realize we are controlled by the same people who funded Hitler. The camps are built, the drills have been run. The police state is secured. Its time to wake up. Don’t get on the bus to the camps, resist Nazi Fascist control."

It has another video that "explains the big picture of microwave radiation. Cell phones, Smart meters, Wifi, Cell towers and their connection to chemtrails . . .Microwave radiation threatens the continued existence of the human race."

Ten years ago I would have said it's just a tinfoil hat site run by a nutter. But after the recent revelations about Russia's propaganda war, it is pretty clear that it is a Russian site attempting to justify their war and sow discord in the US by preying on the weak-minded - getting them to support Russia and hate the US government. And also, of course, to drive COVID-19 fatalities up by claiming that vaccines and masks don't work. Dead Americans are good for Putin and his supporters.

Thank you billvon.
Case in point:
Never trust anything coming out of a war-zone.

Once, I did some snakes in a woman's hair
small stuff compared to this by Hagesandros (or Agesander), Polydoros, and Athenedoros

Regarding the train station bombing, my own view is that it was unintentional by the Russians, but rather than hold their hands up and admit the weapon was inaccurate, they simply denied everything.
The particular munition is notoriously inaccurate, so had they deliberately targeted the station it would likely have missed. They were likely targeting something close by, but hit the station instead. But their dishonesty prevents them from admitting their mistake.

That's my take on it, at the moment, at any rate. If evidence arises that it was deliberate then I wouldn't be surprised, but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt for the time being.

Well, right. But artillery officers aren't idiots; they know the accuracy of their weapons. If they fire it towards an area that includes a train station, they know that they might hit it.

It's like firing an AK-47 on full auto into a crowd 100 meters away. Did you intentionally kill that one little girl? No; the weapon isn't that accurate at those ranges. But could you have expected that to happen? Definitely. The defense "I wasn't targeting her!" doesn't fly.

How do you explain all those ripped open tower blocks in the cities?
A BBC reporter was standing on a road showing a long line of blown open apartment blocks.
Thank you billvon.

War-zone??
How can it be a war zone if Putin tells the Russian people it's a 'special military operation' and not a war.
Besides how do you, Sculptor, know there's anything at all going on in Ukraine, got friends there informing you? You can't trust reporters.
