° Man Child - This album, a 1975 technological feat, is one of the reasons I'm not as much a fan of contemporary electronica as some. Compared to tracks like "The Traitor", contemporary techno and electronica have nothing on what has come before them; it may as well all be Tangerine Dream. True, there are bands like Kraftwerk, but neither did "grunge" live up to Soundgarden nor "rock and roll" to The Beatles, Elvis Presley, or The Rolling Stones. Compared to Man Child, most of the electronica I hear these days is akin to locking a Led Zepplin fan in a room where only Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Kingdom Come, and late-era Bad Company are playing. So ends my twopenny commentary.
