Why?
I was not motivated by your post other than the word infinite was mentioned and I thought I would use it ignoring the context in which you used it.NO! . . . . . and I did not intend to convey that nothing is the opposite of infinite. My intent was to interject that both terms are "mathematical constructs" that are utilized linguistically in a qualitative form and that quantitative value is only inferred in linguistic application to convey a mutually understood "concept". Our language(s) are rife with similar verbage conundrums that serve communicative discourse.
Why?

Thank you for such a well considered reply.Humpty Dumpty to Poe "See I told you, but you wouldn't listen, he would never go for just no".
Poe looks suitably chastised
Thank you for such a well considered reply.
I thought I should print it out and frame it but I don't have a printer.
I have plenty of walls but the works of art are too valuable to hang on a wall.
5 hours to go but may I take this opportunity to wish you and your team a happy new year.
I suppose it may be best not to mention my talking about walls to Humpty ...also don't tell Poe I am not sure if he can keep a secret.
Back in Sydney but just now arrived after 10/hours driving so no fireworks unfortunately.

I may say...if you want to do physics you start with a model based on first observations and go from there. But, to make a physics model starting from nothing...Are there any such physics models which start from nothing? Happy new year all. I wonder if Beer w/Straw got a new straw for christmas?Well the title is a mere attention getter.
I want to discuss nothing in general rather than placing it in a void.
The subject of nothing often comes up and yet it could be argued that nothing does not in fact exist.
Some say before everything there was nothing, some say there is nothing on the outside of the universe, some say they have nothing to say rather than to say something.
I ask what is nothing? How should it be defined?
Can nothing exist and does it take up space?
Is there nothing in a void or is a void nothing.
Can you say something about nothing.

Don't worry Bds, I thought that post funny anyway. My posts aren’t supposed to be there and you the one relating my posts to the quote time and avatar.
I only posted to communicate that I had the answer and it was to say nothing.

I dont know..Are there any such physics models which start from nothing
Only if you ignore the water. However, the wave addition is creating the impression that there nothing in the middle of the tank.
Let me show you a way to make something appear from what appears to be nothing. Picture a wave tank with two wave generators, one at each end of the tank.
There is no place in space that one will not find something.appear as a result of partitions in the nothingness; matter partition.
The Sydney fireworks were most impressive.
Happy new year I am speaking to you from next year it is 2017 here.
There is no place in space that one will not find something.
If there is please let me know where.
