News from the Colonies - America's War in Iraq

A civil war invokes the image of a country tearing itself in two and then having the two halves annihilate each other. This is not quite the case. Nearly all of Iraq is doing as it should... simply trying to rebuild and live day by day. A few small slivers of the country are up in arms to try to get the country to fall apart back into a sea of squabbling warlords: what they see as the proper state for an islamic society.

Bush didn't want war. How come there is a war then?

men like bush make me ashamed to call myself american....the military cant just go off invading countries without presidential approval....considering that there was no attack on america by iraq, i wonder why there is a war in the first place? oh yeah, thats right!! cuz bush wants peace!!!

what a fucking idiot. i seriously hope his impeachment goes well. :p

We're going to make sure they develop a lawful society. In America, copyright laws are essential to the constitution; Suffice to say they are essential also in the building of a new, almost equally democratic nation.

Alright enough of the war on Iraq, by the way that wasn't a real war, no self respecting war lasts only a few months. I want to see somehting like America invading China, Russia, or France; that's a fucking war. Bush had to invade somebody, its the age old Western totem; somebody blows something or kills somebody and somebody has to be a scapegoat, its been happening for eons.

It's not even over now.

When we read the history books on this one the entry for "Second Gulf War" won't end with bush's circus performance on the aircraft carrier.

It will (I imagine) end with the US pulling out of the quagmire ala Vietnam.

what's a civilian in a civil war?
http://www.iraqbodycount.net/

35k killed.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/Iraq/Story/0,2763,1338749,00.html

100k iraqi civilians killed.
About 100,000 Iraqi civilians - half of them women and children - have died in Iraq since the invasion, mostly as a result of airstrikes by coalition forces, according to the first reliable study of the death toll from Iraqi and US public health experts.

I see... if this is truly the cause of the war of George W. Bush, Im somewhat in suport of the war. We must admit however, that the American dollar is losing worth, day by day, with our continuing debt, from military spending, and otherwise. We must also admit that we are losing people in this war, over 2,500 soldiers. I think it would have been much wiser to attempt peace talks, are the people really that war loving that they wouldn't talk about it?

Plus Im not so sure the civil war would have been eminent had we stayed out of Iraq.

I demand that everyone click on this link and read about the war crimes of George Bush.

You may be suprised at how legitimate this claim is.... remember, fascism creeps up on nations.....

You demand....! ! ! :D

I read it.....
Sounds like something a terrorist organization would write to get 17 year old boys to blow themselves up.
There is a solution to your problem.....

Coming right up.
