New bin Ladin tape offers 'truce'

Aljazeera has aired a new audio tape attributed to Usama bin Ladin offering a truce with European states if they stop attacking Muslims, but not with the United States.

The voice on the tape also vowed to avenge the assassination of Hamas leader Shaikh Ahmad Yasin by Israel in the Gaza Strip, last month.

"I offer a truce to them (Europe) with a commitment to stop operations against any state which vows to stop attacking Muslims or interfere in their affairs... The announcement of the truce starts with the withdrawal of the last soldier from our land and the door is open for three months from the date of the announcement of this statement," the voice said.

It added there would be no truce with the United States.

"President (George) Bush and leaders in his sphere, big media institutions, and the United Nations.. all of them are a fatal danger to the world, and the Zionist lobby is their most dangerous and difficult member, and we insist, God willing, on continuing to fight them," the man said.

It was not immediately possible to verify the authenticity of the tape, though the voice sounded like previous tapes thought to be genuine. The CIA has said some previous tapes
purportedly from bin Ladin were likely to be genuine.

Madrid bombings

The tape, also aired by al-Arabiya TV, said the 11 March train bombings in Madrid that killed 191 people were payment for Spain's actions in Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine.

"For those who want peace, we offer it to them. Stop spilling our blood to protect yours ... The solution is in your hands!"

Voice on audiotape

"What happened on 11 September and 11 March are your goods returned to you so that you know security is a necessity for all," the voice on the tape said.

"For those who want peace, we offer it to them. Stop spilling our blood to protect yours," the voice added. "The solution is in your hands!"

Madrid sent troops to Iraq after Saddam Hussein was toppled and also has a contingent in Afghanistan. Since the train attacks, pressure has been applied on Madrid government to withdraw Spanish troops from Iraq.

The last purported bin Ladin tape was aired by Aljazeera on 4 January.

My Comments:

After listening to the whole tape in its original Arabic, I Think his offer is geniune and serious, his offer expell the lie Bush and his zionist masters always try to propogate that Islamic terrorists are killing because they hate ''freedom'' and ''democrasy'' !! I think Europe should consider the offer very seriously and pull out their troops from Afghanistan and Iraq and we will see if Al Qaeda will attack Europeans again !

That's fairly non-specific. What land is "our land", according to bin Laden?
 
He knows that Europeans won't withdraw troops so it's all a propaganda effort on his part. He's making himself looks honourable by offering a deal to Europe when he knows full well that they won't comply. Needless to say, this will be used by extremists and blind people everywhere.

He meant the Muslim land, I have been explaining all along the concept of Ummah to people here, for Muslims every muslim land belong to all Muslims, for example, SYRIA does not belong to Syrians only but to all muslims all over the world, the same for Indonesia for example, it belongs to all Muslims all over the world not only Indonesian Muslims and the same apply for the 57 Muslim countries all over the world.

That is not true, SPAIN will withdraw its troops, I have just been listening to the new Spanish Prime Minister Zapatero in the Spanish Parliament announcing his intentions to pull out of Iraq by June 30th if the UN dont take charge.

The point is this: the so called Islamic terrorists dont kill and bomb out of their hate for freedom and democrasy as Bush and his zionist masters who run the white house would like you to believe, it is all about POLITICS.

I was amazed to hear the word HALLIBURTON in Bin laden tape, he refered to it when he talked about who benefit from invading the Muslim land !! I was like waoooooo, Bin laden seems to know what's going in details which suggests he is not hiding in some isolated remote cave but rather in a place with access to TV and perhaps AL JAZEERA Satellite TV channel !!!!
 
Spain were withdrawing anyway, so they don't count. But Osama said from ALL Muslim countries. Iraq doesn't count as ALL does it?

And you do know you can get cable pretty much anywhere nowadays...prolly got the internet hooked up there too. We can only peculate...

Information about Osama Bin Laden's death is not attractive to leadership and media who perpetuate this arch-villain persona both for their "ratings", and as a convenient means of oversimplifying the conflict we face. Al-Qaeda and its many affiliates and immitators are not centrally controlled. But that's another thread.
 
How do you say "go f*#k yourself" in arabic? Al Quaida is in a corner and desperate hoping that europeans will be stupid enough to wait thier turn. I guess all the terrorists arrested in europe over the last 2 years have seriously cramped Al Qs style.

I've never heard a direct equivalent: Most similar epithets involve an insulting third party as object of the verb. Probably the closest thing these days is "Boosh-Shayneh 2004".

You want Muslims to be treated right, but yet because of 9-11 and Madrid EVERYONE HATES them. Good PR Job.
