Moderator bias

I, personally, feel I have been unfairly treated by the following moderator(s):

  • Total voters
    35

When other members see it happening.

But James R has loaded the deck there already:
So, please answer in the poll whether YOU, personally, feel like you have been unfairly targetted by a moderator.

Please vote on the basis of YOUR OWN experience, and not whether you think moderators have been fair to other posters.

The point of not including complaints from others in the poll is that it is very easy to kick up a fuss when you have no personal stake in the outcome. I often see unaffected posters jumping on the bandwagon when a moderator is criticised. It's almost trendy to do that. So, I'm trying to gauge real concerns, and not just rent-a-crowd concerns.

You make it sound as though all of us have no claims at stake. For example, Bells and S.A.L.A.A.M. (perhaps Stryder too since I haven't yet continued with the other thread), have each already voiced their opposition to my supposed interference. S.A.L.A.A.M. of course, had nothing to add except for belittling my presence in the thread, but at least Bells substantiated her challenge—somewhat. Yet… there's room for improvement in their examples of moderator-conduct towards the members.

Bah. It's gets flat when there's no brotherhood either. Oh well. Stranger in a strange place and all that jazz.

I know why ashpwner doesn't like me... but zak.. :(

Finally a chance to see all the old exorcised ghosts neatly in a line.

Please note that I have received a warning from Tiassa.
As I felt that warning was duly warranted, I had and have no complaint about it.

I appreciate greatly your understanding.

General commentary:

Given that the red cards don't have much effect, I'll be saving them for the only thing they can actually do, which is initiate a suspension. I much prefer my old method of simply bitching at people when they cross the line; it really did seem to have a more positive effect on behavior. And, yes, I do play favorites. If you give me a headache more often than other people do, you're less likely to be a candidate for my trust. I still find it ridiculous to be put in a position of defending the dishonest and mean-spirited.

General question:

Really? Mods are expected to vote in this poll?

Never mind. I abstain.

Note that the poll suffers from selection bias. Those who have been 'treated unfairly' by moderators are probably not around to tell the tale!

It evens out by those who think that they have been treated unfairly simply because of the fact that a moderator action has been taken against them.

You are asking for a poster's personal experience with the moderation, and whether they personally feel that they have been treated unfairly. Of course it's subjective.

Just because clinical trials deal with subjectives (eg. How much pain/nausea are you feeling today?) does not mean that one should accept a study design with selection bias.

Actually the ones that usually complain about bias moderatorship are still here, we haven't banned the whiners because doing so just makes it look like their point is true when in fact for the most part it's complete fabrication.

Hey Guys

look the amazing Bell is still least bias moderator..

All hail the Amazing bell
