Misunderstander of islam says killing gays A-ok

Is it in opposition to the Bible? Must we then choose one or the other? How odd.

Anyway, if the Bible were being explicitly followed today, of course, I would oppose it utterly. As Max points out, it is not.

Average people and religious extremist people and clergy and politicians pick and chose what parts of their religious scripture they want to emphasize and obey. They also chose on a case by case basis when they want to believe and obey their religious leaders's opinions.

Have you noticed that 84% Christian Uganda is inching towards possibly killing thousands of homosexuals for God.

Uganda’s homosexual community say that their situation is worsening. Today marks one year since the introduction of an Anti-Homosexuality Bill in Uganda’s parliament that seeks to impose the death penalty on "repeat offenders" and HIV-positive gay men convicted of “aggravated homosexuality”. The bill also proposes jailing anyone who knows a gay man but refuses to report them to the authorities for three years, whilst anyone who is caught defending gay rights in public would be sentenced to seven years in prison.

Agreed on both counts. Mind, Islamic groups are right behind those laws also. The problem is that the majority of the case-by-case in Islamic societies are strongly negative, precisely because of conservative traditions in the religion and the general rejection of the separation of church/mosque and state.
