Luminiferous Aether Exists!

"This technique revealed the dark matter in Abell 520 had collected into a "dark core," containing far fewer galaxies than would be expected if the dark matter and galaxies were anchored together. Most of the galaxies apparently have sailed far away from the collision. "This result is a puzzle," said astronomer James Jee of the University of California in Davis, lead author of paper about the results available online in The Astrophysical Journal. "Dark matter is not behaving as predicted, and it's not obviously clear what is going on. It is difficult to explain this Hubble observation with the current theories of galaxy formation and dark matter.""

You cannot explain what is happening. You can only give an unevidenced illogical pseudo-science guess about some mythical aether with magical proporties.

The interference pattern is statistical. You need at least a dozen or so particles to really make out the wave interference pattern. Whatever causes this interference pattern is very subtle; in fact it's too subtle to even be proved to exist. Therefore, it is reasonable to draw the conclusion that some things in nature are too subtle to be proven to exist. Such subtle things can be called "aetherial".

Quantum mechanics rule 'bent' in classic experiment

'For his part, Professor Steinberg believes that the result reduces a limitation not on quantum physics but on physicists themselves. "I feel like we're starting to pull back a veil on what nature really is," he said. "The trouble with quantum mechanics is that while we've learned to calculate the outcomes of all sorts of experiments, we've lost much of our ability to describe what is really happening in any natural language. I think that this has really hampered our ability to make progress, to come up with new ideas and see intuitively how new systems ought to behave."'

New 'Double Slit' Experiment Skirts Uncertainty Principle

"Intriguingly, the trajectories closely match those predicted by an unconventional interpretation of quantum mechanics known as pilot-wave theory, in which each particle has a well-defined trajectory that takes it through one slit while the associated wave passes through both slits."

A particle physically displaces the aether. A moving particle has an associated aether displacement wave. In a double slit experiment the particle enters and exits a single slit. It is the associated aether displacement wave which enters and exits both slits. As the aether wave exits the slits it creates wave interference. As the particle exits a single slit the direction it travels is altered by the wave interference. This is the wave piloting the particle of pilot-wave theory. Strongly detecting the particle turns the associated aether wave into chop. The particle gets knocked around by the chop and continues on the path it is traveling.

What waves in a double slit experiment is the aether.

OK, if you want to be like that, I've got an explanation for dark matter. I think it's a fudge factor used by God to hold galaxies together. Dark matter is this astronomical glue that performs a useful task.

My point is that intellectuals don't fully use their creativity and imagination to think about these problems. Intellectuals have to snip away parts of their brain in order to conform. Failure to conform results in severe ridicule. It's really quite barbaric to force an otherwise healthy mind into cutting away parts of their intelligence and creativity. Intellectuals thought they were enlightened, but they are clearly mistaken. I could show you thousands of cruel, hateful and ugly comments that demonstrate the lack of enlightenment of intellectuals.

Aether has mass. Aether physically occupies three dimensional space. Aether is physically displaced by matter. Displaced aether pushes back and exerts inward pressure toward matter.

But if there was a bow wave, you would excpect there to be waves traveling behind particles, it cannot be true, particle waves can be reflected and do not create that much of a standing wave even. For instance, you wouldn't find an interference pattern associated with reflecting a wave at a full wave length. There would just be some spikes in the standing wave, but it would have generally the same voltage throughout. So then the particles would have mostly the same potential. At a half wavelenght there would be no potential or voltage detected along the whole path. There is not a mix match of difference of potential throughout from waves actually hitting each other. It is just wavelike, not like actual waves. Your a warp drive technician, you should know this stuff. :)

'Interpretation of quantum mechanics by the double solution theory - Louis de BROGLIE'
http://aflb.ensmp.fr/AFLB-classiques/aflb124p001.pdf

“When in 1923-1924 I had my first ideas about Wave Mechanics I was looking for a truly concrete physical image, valid for all particles, of the wave and particle coexistence discovered by Albert Einstein in his "Theory of light quanta". I had no doubt whatsoever about the physical reality of waves and particles.”

“any particle, even isolated, has to be imagined as in continuous “energetic contact” with a hidden medium”

The hidden medium of de Broglie wave mechanics is the aether. The “energetic contact” is the state of displacement of the aether.

"the particle, precisely located in space at every instant, forms on the v wave a small region of high energy concentration, which may be likened in a first approximation, to a moving singularity."

"the particle is defined as a very small region of the wave"

In de Broglie wave mechanics there is a particle AND a wave. The particle occupies a very small region of the wave.

You cannot explain what is happening. You can only give an unevidenced illogical pseudo-science guess about some mythical aether with magical properties.

What waves in a double slit experiment is the aether.
The aether doesn't wave. Let's try a different experiment, say you try to split an electromagnetic wave, but instead of having two slits, you have two tubes that are the same size as the electromagnetic wave. One tube is divisable by a full wavelength, and the other tube is a half wavelength. If there was an aether wave or distubance than you would think that the wave traveled down both tubes. It doesn't. It only travels down one tube that is a full wavelength. There would then not be any disturbance or electromagnetic energy detectable in the half wave guide. So then the wave doesn't travel down the half wave tube, there is no energy associated with that tube. Mass is conserved by saying that there is no wave traveling down the half wave guide. It is as if the electromagnetic energy already knows that tube is a half wave in length and doesn't even begin to travel down it to begin with. It can make this decision without any loss of energy or electromagnetic disturbance in the half wave guide.

You cannot explain what is happening. You can only give an unevidenced illogical pseudo-science guess about some mythical aether with magical properties.
But that is the evidence. Quantum mechanics tells us that it can only predict probabilities (eigenstates). There is no scientific theory that will predict which eigenstate will come up next. There is no scientific theory that will predict which slit the electron will pass through or exactly where it will land. The answers to those questions are beyond the realm of science. This is where we enter the realm of mystery. This mysterious quality of life is the perfect place for God, alchemy, magic and mysticism to exist.

Hello Mazulu, I see you are back to your own thread. Why have you stayed away... Oh yes, its the troll factor, isn't it. Don't feed them. In honor of your return I have a link for you. Read it all and you will go to heaven, lol. No, just kidding, it is light Friday night reading. Enjoy:

Try this quote on for size to start with: In his well-known letter to Bentley, Newton writes as follows: “That Gravity should be innate, inherent, and essential to matter, so that one body can act upon another body at a distance through a vacuum, without the mediation of anything else, by and through which their action and force may be conveyed from one to another, is to me so great an absurdity, that I believe no man who has any philosophical nature or competent faculty of thinking can ever fall into it.”

I bookmarked the article. Science needs an aether; science needs a magical aether. Science needs a dose of magic, perhaps a light peppering of aetheric fairy dust. It is clear that the brightest minds do not have enough information to discover a new natural phenomenon. I don't even think the scientific community understands what they're looking for. So I'll tell you and I'll tell them. You're looking for a new natural phenomenon that permits gravity control. Did you see the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind? Do you remember the spaceships and how they floated by, how they rolled and hovered? We need that.

When the scientific community ridicules gravity control as being "woo woo", they demonstrate just how lost, deluded and confused they really are. Humanity does not need some new gravity theory that explains how rocks fall when we drop them. Humanity needs a new phenomenon of nature. If science cannot come up with it, then we can only pray that some inventor will figure it out. The only way anyone can ever hope to discover a new phenomenon of nature, a gravity drive, is too take GR, QM, lots of ingenuity, and mix it with the lumiferous aether, conceptually speaking. What we're looking for is an experiment to test for a new phenomenon of nature.

From the article, I quote:
" The rules that govern the making of any hypotheses, so far as I can discern, may be summed up under the three following heads--
(1) Simplicity of conception.
(2) Agreement with experience, observation, and experiment.
(3) Satisfactorily accounting for, and explaining all phenomena sought to be explained."

This is rubbish. This is why we haven't discovered any new phenomena. This approach is totally useless and not worth the yearly salary of that a physicist asks for. These physicists should be laid off.
