FWIW, PH is German and NOT British.
Chinese & indian restaurants are popular in the uk, german & french ones are not & never will be, & the fact there are very few french restaurants speaks volumes.

It may have something to do with the amount of chinese and indian immigrants that came here 40 odd years ago.....not as many german and french immigrants.
if you look at france they have quite a few chinese restaurants- because of chinese immigrants, but they do not have many indian restaurants instead they have couc-cous houses from the Algerian immigrants...
And a lot of English restaurants(not pub grub which is entirely english) are influenced by the french.
I find it strange that you do not support or trust the government yet support its forgein policies, and support it's motives towards allying with the US for the purpose of war for oil................?

Also to your reference about trade I can see all the products,media and entertainment that is bought by the UK.....but I am interested to know what the US buys of the UK to balance it out otherwise it is not trade we are just purchasing from the US because of governmental bureaucracy i.e. there is no choice.
The trade is export to america 13% import from america 10%, america is still our biggest export market, the difference is 3% in the uk's favour.

America has been a huge sucess for the uk in terms of exports & tourism, europe has been one big let down, i can buy hundreds of products in thailand grocery stores from things made in the uk, in europe you will be hard pressed to find a handfull.
