Star Craft is THE original RTS.
Command & Conquer is right besides StarCraft. Dune is pretty classical too.
actually a really old game called powermonger.
how about "populous"?Dune was the shit.
"Construction complete."
I can still see the rocket turrets lining the alley of death launching their hellfire into the enemy who so foolishly allow themselves to be channeled so easily.
And the stupid sandworms eating my spice harvesters.
I remember Powermonger, but it didn't exactly follow the same pattern as Dune and Starcraft and the rest. It was more akin to Black and White.
Hell, if you want to include Powermonger, then Utopia on the Intellivision would also fit. But, I think these games were a slightly different genre.
I hate RTS. RTT(tactics) is good however. "Strategy" in real life is almost never done in seconds and minutes, but only hours days even weeks.
Total war series got it right, if only they could come up with some good A.I.
its a computer game. RTS are more fun to play than RTT. but maybe you dont play games for fun
peace.
i play games to make myself angry. i then go and beat homeless people with the anger for fun.
so, in a way....i guess i indirectly play videogames for fun?
well every man to his own. indirectly maybe.
beating up the homeless is better than any game on the market. we should create a homeless RTS game, each of us gathers up a throng of homeless people, we each have a base camp and we launch raids on each other,
i didnt mean game as in "not real" i mean in real life but we will call it a game.
peace.
