Isn't time that Humanity was more important than any religion

So you think that social change is about killing and incarceration ?

That is a demented point of view

Explain this " inferior hypothesis " that you think I have

Because basically you seem to have missed my point

But explain this " inferior hypothesis " first

In short, you do not maintain that God is the First Cause

Cause of what exactly ?

Because this without philosophy has divided Humanity into this cult or that cult

Which is because some cults think that they are closer to this or that god than any other

Hence our situation presently in the world

So because there is competition between religious traditions, we should do away with religion

Yes

But more importantly , these religions are about god and who is closer to god , this is what all the fightings are all about

These religions don't have Humanity , the survival of Humanity at their core , just the god and therefore gods eminence

It has been like this for thousands of years

It is time that we , Humanity , end this

Religion is supposed to be humanity

What does humanity offers that is not inscribed in religion ?

If religion failed to produce humanity , Will humanity produce godliness ?

Humanity offers , certainly , at this point in time in our History , our free-will to determine our own destiny

We are in a unique point in our history where we are far more knowledgeable than the simple people of antiquity , who could be easily impressed , both by psychological means and technological means

We can if we chose too , stand up for ourselves and say no more being manipulated by these so called god(s)

1. God imagines, which is why man imagines.

2. Man projects his qualities onto everything, why single out God and religion?

3. Because from our own experience humanoid creatures (humans in particular) rule (on any level), so if we are thinking of advance species it is little wonder we
depict them as humanoids.

4. Things aren't always how they seem.
What do you think ''a higher being in the universe'' is or should be?

jan.

If man projects his qualities on everything, and God is known to have his qualities, then it would support the idea that God is man-made, instead of man being made by God. And I don't think aliens will be like humans, the chance of life coming about and evolutionary progression to have happened on Earth was astronomically minute, for it to occur similar on another planet to produce human-like beings is essentially impossible lol

We're not just talking about just any higher being, we're talking about "God", whose supposedly allknowing allpowerful and everpresent. So yes, I'd expect more than how the Old testament God acts.

Sometimes, this is what is required, yes.

When someone who has no support from any institution or organization, who can claim no formal education or authority, holds public speeches or posts on the internet - what kind of social change can such a person hope to bring about?

Cause of what exactly ?

The First Cause is, by definition, the cause of everything else.

Or you're just too weak to compete, so in order to make things easy for yourself, you want to do away with competition altogether.
Victory ought to be handed to you on a silver platter, eh?

As long as humans don't come to the point where they can make the Sun shine, the Earth spin, and all the other things that God is traditionally said to be able to do, God's eminence remains.

1. I would say, on the contrary. If God made man in his image, then man would project certain qualities on God if he so chose to. The ability to ''choose to'' is one such quality we
could project simply because we have that ability.

2. I don't know how you can say that with such certainty, regarding aliens not being human-like.

3. Why is it impossible? If it happened on this planet, why couldn't it happen on another?

4. I don't see ''God'' as the Old Testament God, or the Hindu God, or anything like that. I'm interested in learning more about ''God'', period.
What do you think it means to be omnipotent, omniscient, and all-pervading?

Are we manipulated ? In my view the word of God provides us with an advice to live in harmony which is humanity .
Every society have a ton of laws , the laws are just a suppression of the natural freedom of the individual , only with the purpose to bring harmony in the society .

I strongly disagree

If this were true , if what your saying is true , then there would have been no wars in past history and we wouldn't have the situation in the middle east
