Slavery has been (and still is) part and parcel of our history - it's one reason why the world is the way it is today.
Cannibalism was often used to honour an enemy - eat his heart and you gain his bravery.
Incest? How many famous historical figures have married (let alone just had sex) with siblings?

Were these things bad then?
Only when judged in the current moral climate.

Would the families of the victims (assuming you're talking about execution)?
