The same can also be said for the Catholic church and any other religion in existence today. The greed and selfishness of the Catholic church cannot be denied. The amount of wealth they have accumulated and continue to do so is frankly obscene. Especially in light of the amount of suffering and poverty that exists in so many parishes and you have the priests passing round the donation tray to people who don't even have money to feed their own children. Visit ANY Catholic parish in a poverty stricken area and I can assure you that the priest will eat 3+ wholesome meals a day and travel by car while the people consisting of his parish will be on the brink of starvation and death. The Catholic church has prided itself on its accumulation of wealth and it still does so. I wonder what punishment any supposed God would give to a religious group who push their parishioners to donate money to the church even though the parishioners are taking food from their child's mouth to do so.
