Electric Fetus, we object to your comparison of breast feeding and urination because they're not even vaguely analogous.
One involves discharging bodily waste (there, your favourite word, discharge.) from an orifice that is solely there for getting rid of waste products.
One involves a) exposing your upper body, which is hardly a filthy or obscene thing. Sure, breasts are seen in the western world as overtly sexual parts, but a nipple is hardly comparable to an urethral hole. And b) giving a child some nutrition.
Saying they are alike is like saying that Mother Theresa and Adolf Hitler are alike because both breathed air, shat, and pissed. (There, I mentioned shitting and pissing, get your attention?)

Hey what do you know something they have in common, more so they were both antithesis of each other in other respects but the breastfeeding and peeing aren't as difference as the good mother and Hiltar. mY argument is equilvent to saying "well humans are capable of love and hate look at Hitler and mother Theresa" and then you people spouting off "how dare you compare those two!"

One of the risks of that tack is that, not being intimately familiar with the argument from a belief perspective, even you are left speculating at the construction. I think people felt there wasn't much for logic and reason in the argument you put forth.

what really makes me mad with all this is, no one will see a group of kittens feeding from the mum and say its gross, they will generally say "argh isnt that sweet" and men walk around with no tops on all the time in summer, and the male torso is also a sexual part of a mans body for some women, so MEN if you dont like to see women breast feed and walk around topless be fair on us and cover up in the summer!! fairs fair
I've been reading the thread, but not every post. My guess is no, but I brought it up to make a point.
I would not be surprise if women were not also part of the "obscene" crowed, perhaps under the "I'm prudent, why aren't you?" logic.
Ok, so we'll forget about the man urinating analogy, what if instead a mother takes her pants down and smears her own dung all over her baby, is that acceptable?

Huh? Oooohhh, I never realised the purpose of breastfeeding was to feed the baby, I always assumed it was to degrade and humiliate the baby, with hindsight I guess I should have taken a cue from the word "feed" in breastfeed but yeah, just one of those things that never clicked.

Discharging milk is probably more comparable to sweating in public than pissing.
Is there any way we could compare it to queefing? That would really get people thinking, I think.
sweat glands are not organ of contention which are normally censored from view, dicks and breast are. Yes considering the evolutionary relation between sweet glands and lactating glands, but it still has not relevance.
