:D

I applaud this decision from the mexican government.

Hopefully it will encourage other governments to be more forthcoming. ;)

Going to the first mentioned site I saw this:

Apparently the words "Hot air balloon" never entered into anyones mind. Makes me wonder if Branson or one of the other Millionaire playboy's isn't floating around out there getting ready for the next round the world attempt.

Is there any confirmation of an actual news conference? Rense.com publishes many reader-submitted articles without checking their authenticity. The link to the Hotel
Sevilla Palace was just a link to their home page with no information on a news
conference that I could find.

It was also posted to UFO Updates by Santiago Yturria, a Mexican ufologist.

Are you really serious here?

How could you possibly come to that conclusion?

That object does not remotely resemble a balloon.

Yeah I'm serious, although there is potentially another reason for hot air balloons.
Of course if I'm going to mention it here, you better kickstart "Carnivore" up to capture this:

Lets say a sneaky drug baron in a not too far from Mexico country wanted to do a little drug trafficking. He want's to be able to get from A to B with his shipment and doesn't want to use a Landing strip.

He could get a helicopter but they need to talk to people about aerospace and are seen a threat if they fly through a country or two without communicating with ground control about flight plans/ patterns.

So he could get a couple of Balloons, They can carry cargo or people and follow the wind pattern up over borders to touch down in neighbouring countries.

They can even be used to undermine communication networks, however I'm not going to detail that one.

Coolmacguy, I have sent out a few emails to find the media coverage for this event.
The only reply I have back so far is from Dr. Salla:
unfortunately I haven't found any coverage of the press conference in Mexico City. It's an important development and I'm sure it will have an effect despite the official silence.

You could call the hotel and see if there was even a conference scheduled...

well gee goofy, I did call the 1-800 number listed on their site but apparently I am not in their 1-800 USA/Canada calling area.....LOL

Disclosure is ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, inevitable.
Acceptance is…………… optional.
Incompetence is………….not required.
What will be your attitude when you meet crater chain wielding alien?

Actually yes, I'm even more convinced they are balloons.

How do you think the world famed "Around the world in 80 days" was journeyed at one point?

By balloon of course (along with a few other more recent voyages). Balloonists don't necessarily travel along at slow speeds, if they reach the right heights the wind velocity greatly increases, and this is why the pilots need canopied baskets beneath them.

If you watch carefully and even examine the static pictures you can see it for what it is.

When yah get a balloon that can follow a high speed twin engine plane around and keep all the other 10 balloons in a formation around the plane,,, well? I want one ! ! ! ! ! FOCLMFAO,, Stryder? Are you really thinking about this?,, FOCLMFAO again.

Erm... Correct me if I'm wrong, but Customs agents looking for drug traffickers tend to formate to identify an object rather than the object formate with them and if you watch the video, they don't appear to be formatting, more likely moving up into a high altitude wind which can be 100-150Mph.

Stryderunknown:

R_I_G_H_T!!

A balloon is going to keep pace and surround an Air Force Jet......FOCL@Stryderunknown

The lights were filmed on March 5 by pilots using infrared equipment. They appeared to be flying at an altitude of about 3,500 meters (11,480 feet), and allegedly surrounded the Air Force jet as it conducted routine anti-drug trafficking vigilance in Campeche

,,,,,,, and they have cloaking devices on those balloons?
