Intelligent design.

Thank you for participating in this thread.
I can not disagree with anything you say but I am not entirely sure who you refer to when you mention beings so perhaps you could go into a little more detail as to that aspect.
Alex
I'm not sure be gets "it" perhaps different culture and or odd religious beliefs

By the way your prediction came true. How'd you do that?

:)

Thanks. Sorry, last sentance was to start by therefore not there. By beings, I meant all live beings.

The need to sleep for 8 hours out of every 24 hours could be considered a design flaw as well.
You really see a problem with having been unconscious for twenty five years by the time you hit 75?

So do I.

And why do so many things shit? Terrible design.

I thought that intelligent design was a term originated by creationists to make there POV seem more scientific.

Yes.
I started this thread with that in mind perhaps to list things that could have been designed better.

Now the creationists have been very scientific about intelligent design and as they hastily point out they are not for one moment suggesting the intelligent designer was God...nooo this is science they can't prove that they say, just that there was an intelligent designer...
A dishonest attempt to give the invisible friend a leg up.

So just think of design flaws and as in my case how cool it would be to sit in the saddle on your own flying pigeon.

I eyed this from another board, but it could be interesting (and it's an hour long)

I took PZed to a creationist "museum" outside Springfield, Ill., when he spoke at Skepticon IV. He asked me to translate for him. :)

Imagination. With that you can ride a green pigeon to the moon and back. There is no shortage of that in this thread.

I question the presenters credibility.
No tie and a beard.

I listened to the presentation for the hour
Was trying out my new Bluetooth headset while sort of doing housework
Great loved it

Phone got hot so I used my new portable rechargeable fan
Another great buy

Just need to find a place for all my new gadgets

:)

I got some wicked speakers, it's frustrating in listening to somethings online cause I want to adjust the mad base coming out, but I sometimes just sit in the bath and listen to lectures or what not.

Gives me solace for the human race after watching to much of the mainstream media and its vile headlines.

Great loved it
I am not at all fond of house work.
So what did you think of the video.
I enjoyed it he was on the money.
Just need to find a place for all my new gadgets
Land fill?

Good to be back?
I should leave today but I don't want to as I have made friends with a peacock from next door. I play him peahen sounds on my phone and it sends him nuts.
Its 5-30 am and he is calling now louder than the roster from another farm.
Not a human in site. I may jingle some coins see if any humans appear.

From Jan Ardena Post 34
Why is this thread in the religion forum?
Intelligent Design is a term originated by some creationist to make their POV seem more like science than a religious belief

Why were pigeons not made large enough so I could ride one rather than having to drive everywhere?

And why can't our pets talk?

Why not have lawns that you do not have to mow?

Anything else?

Yes, why were humans not made in such a manner as to not be useless?

I love the way these questions work, but you do recognize the rhetorical fault runs miles beyond the grasp of your audience?

Or was that the point?

Sorry, hope I didn't spoil the joke.
