many people use to say,i dont believe in God because we havnt seen him.

my questions are

how should God look like ?

how do they know They havnt seen him?

WHAT does he have to do to prove himself?

what kind of qualities he need to convince a human being?

and what do you look for in a God?

When I was little I used to imagine that God looked Cinderella's Fairy godmother from the Disney movie. And when I asked a lot the kids in my class most of them had various Disney characters that they thought looked like God.

I asked that of a minister friend of mine and his was the answer I've heard most often. He said look around and look at everything in nature, that is God. Of course I don't believe in God so I chuckled to myself about an answer so nebulous.

The only way I figure - is "God" as written in that passage, was an member of an alien species and created us using their DNA.

Pretty far fetched - so is "the man who lives in the cloudssss...."

You can of course imagine a God, and imagine what God looks like.
You might imagine an old man with a big white beard, say.

However, it is true that you can see God (you can see yourself). It does not look remotely like what you see with your eyes (in a mirror say).

If God has a throne then He must have a derriere. Didn't Moses see His face and I'm sure He has a hand to wave with. So He kind of looks like this smilie :spank: a front & rear view of the Holy Father

ok, ok, an answer to your question on what god would have to do to make people believe he/she/etc [hereinafter he] existed....

probably broadcast the fact he existed to everyone in the world, and then promise to show them a sign e.g. turn all trees purple for two days and allow people to videotape it. that should be easy peasy for omnipotent all powerful.

oh and wait, while he's at proving his existence, why not stop world poverty, conflict, trauma, rape and murder etc ....................and resurrect bob marley

That's a matter of interpretation. In Exodus He speaks to Moses face to face. I call it as I see it.
Seeing myself is a matter of interpretation? Is Exodus a story or did it really happen?

I think if you write down some words, you might describe this thing with them.
But this is the equivalent of building a sandcastle. Claiming a sandcastle is "the word of God" would then only be true until the tide came in.

yeah, I rolled my eyes and laughed at him. Then I saw this picture and though, yep he may be right.
