1) Products from that DNA can hurt and kills you.
2) Some GM foods are going to be eaten raw, in salads for example. But again it is not the DNA itself that is the concern.
3) I don't think you are correct about cooking necessarily breaking down DNA. There are bacteria that can live in boiling or near boiling water, for example. But this is beside the point.

4) many people have concerns about how the gm organisms will affect the environment long before they end up in a pot on the stove.
