That you think she can know what you're talking about betrays an assumed reality where your words in fact do not mean something different to her than to you or to me.

Without that common understanding at some level, communication like this would not be possible.

Signs and symbols can mean different things to different people in different contexts and circumstances. But when they are used deliberately, with intent - the message is absolutely tied to a common understanding.

"Reality" is the context everyone shares in this universe. Whatever it is, it makes it possible to interact with other minds in a meaningful way. Even by using relatively arbitrary signals.
