One word, "Hackers".
Someone could just at the click of a button get rid of the dictator, and I thought we want to end corruption?

dictators are not voted in. well...at least not after they sneakily become dictators.

No I was referring to the idea of 75% of population requirred to kick him out. During the vote a hacker could cheat.

I'd rather live in a dictatorship where a guy like Walter Williams was king than democracy where everyone had the same views as Michael Moore.

To a sufficiently intelligent person in a modern nation-state comprised of millions of people there is no qualitative difference, since he will always be on the receiving end of the 'dictating' - whether by the one or the many.

For a human-scaled polity wherein real deliberation is possible by the non-elites then democracy would be preferred.
