Ah, I really like this sound. Here's a Charango.
Not just the PR updates. Get Trump (and Kushner and the rest of that clown show) out of the way and let the medical/public health professionals run the response 100%.Is it just me, or should Trump stop pretending like he's a doctor, and just leave the CV19 briefings and updates for the medical professionals?
Yes a small effect, I think, the assumption being that most people in normal daily life are NOT waking around with dried out mucosa. There has been advice on a balanced diet and avoiding dehydration I think, which is what doctors always say anyway.I have found a detailed (and ,from the bit I have read apparently quite sensible even though the author is a herbalist) article on the subject that goes into what they consider to be the importance of avoiding dried out mucosa.
https://www.eclecticschoolofherbalmedicine.com/covid-19/
I am a bit puzzled why keeping hydrated is not officially being promoted in the current pandemic if it has this beneficial effect on the mucosa.
I wonder whether it might be possible to quantify the benefit of having healthy mucosa rather than the dried out variety.
Might it impact upon the severity of the infection or upon the likelihood of it taking hold in the first place? (both? neither?)
Might it be that the effect is on the small side and so a distraction in the larger scheme?
Your a smart person surely...(Re QQ's assertions, so long as your mucosa are not dried out there is bugger-all benefit to be gained by drinking or gargling at all times of the day and night. That way lies neurosis and obsessional behaviour. )
You posted a fake internet "meme" purporting to come from China.Your a smart person surely...
Surely you know I made no such assertions and merely posted the testimony of medical staff on the front line in Wuhan, China.
You see, this is why the benefits if any, of maintaining saliva production in the mouth to trap the virus, so it can be swallowed and digested escapes you. This is achievable by staying hydrated and avoiding a dry mouth and throat.
You have to keep in mind that the people in Wuhan were not having an easy time of it. Quite desperate times there. Intense anxiety and fear tend to dry the mouth out. Similar to what is happening in the States now and will become worse so in the future.... perhaps hydration will become an issue especially, for the elderly and the Wuhan advice will come in handy?
So am I making assertions about the benefits?
Nope!
I am only explaining the testimony of front line medical staff in Wuhan, China.
I am making assertions about your desire to build some sort solution to your vanity driven need, at the expense of someone else by lying about what they post.
And for your information Saliva is Not considered as Mucosa.. Saliva is about protecting the oral mucosa from dehydration.
If you want I can offer an explanation for why so many people seems to think 5G mobile towers make you more receptive to the virus. ( latest and greatest conspiracy theory doing the rounds)
but you are not capable of entertaining a decent discussion with out ego game playing..... so I guess I shall refrain...
So what am i asserting exactly? You posted a fake internet "meme" purporting to come from China.
At least, there was no evidence it was real and, as I say, good reason to think it was ballocks.
Apparently it is about breaking down the fatty surface of the virus and soap does this quite well but takes about 20 minutes. Not sure how bleach would impact on the fatty surface...Has anyone any experience of using bleach to disinfect hands, shopping etc?
I have been using this ,diluted one part to 30 and renewed daily since I have never seen hand sanitizer on sale anywhere and so followed this advice from the internet.
But I never see this being suggested and any diy preparations seem to involve 60% alcohol (I only came across the bleach advice as I was deliberately looking for it)
The only thing I have read to its disadvantage is that it can damage some surfaces but that would not normally be a concern with me.
I also understand that it can be sprayed on food and ingested without any great harm (cooking also destroys the virus)
I think soap is supposed to be better , but I wonder how this bleach solution compares with normal ,alcohol based hand sanitizer which is used in different circumstances.Apparently it is about breaking down the fatty surface of the virus and soap does this quite well but takes about 20 minutes. Not sure how bleach would impact on the fatty surface...
Fuck knows. So what am i asserting exactly?
Sometimes I don't think even you know.So what am i asserting exactly?
It's really maddening, watching the President ignore science and ''preach'' his own manipulative message. Not just the PR updates. Get Trump (and Kushner and the rest of that clown show) out of the way and let the medical/public health professionals run the response 100%.
And then to watch all his apologists explain what Trump REALLY meant, and how he was doing it all for the good of the US.It's really maddening, watching the President ignore science and ''preach'' his own manipulative message.
He won't even wear a mask. I'm just so tired of these mixed messages, and he should NOT leave the decisions to individual governors. In 12 states the last time I checked, the governors of those states are ''relaxing'' the CDC guidelines for places of worship. What? And then to watch all his apologists explain what Trump REALLY meant, and how he was doing it all for the good of the US.
Trump did say he wanted to see packed churches this Easter - and some people listened to him.He won't even wear a mask. Trump should come out and say everyone in the US should remain at home except for emergency workers. We STILL have half a dozen states with no stay-at-home order - and the virus will spread rapidly through them, and then infect the states next door.Trump should mandate no public gatherings at this time
His re-election is his priority. And for the past three years, the one thing he can consistently point to as a success has been the economy. If he gives up on that, he loses the election (in his mind.)But, he keeps talking about the economy, and I get it...we don't want to dip into a depression, but first things first. The safety and well being of all of us, should be his priority.

As with AGW it all stems from people underestimating the gravity and seriousness of the problem and how that will ultimately bite them on the but.If hundreds of thousands of people die because of his mixed messages, we all lose. I’m not a Trump supporter but didn’t really see him as bad as many have suggested ...until these past few press conferences where his messages have been confusing. I read today that a church in Louisiana had 1,800 people in attendance last weekend. But they were practicing social distancing...riiiight.
Why the rush to get people back in church when the entire country is following strict CDC orders? Money. It’s sad, but pastors who kick open their doors during a time like this, are tired of missing out on the money. Much respect to pastors, rabbis, priests and other religious leaders who are interested in the safety and well being of their communities. That’s the most loving thing to do.
so what am I asserting with my post to Wegs above #838Sometimes I don't think even you know.
