Still, I give a thumbs up to Sarkus for a noble effort. And a chuckle for "Project 2025. Have you read it?"

I will post pics of the enormous flock of airborne pigs that are passing over my house when Trek reads a 900 page Heritage Fndn document.

Yeah, I know. I admire Sarkus's approach: He is consistently thorough and precise (of course, we know what Emerson would say about that). I suspect that he may be somewhat like my sister, who can type like 160 wpm or something. She doesn't need to copy-and-paste massive blocks of code, cuz it's just faster for her to type it all out.

The line by line stuff is tiresome, even if you are a very fast typist. And addressing things which have already been addressed a gazillion times? Like sculptor's vexing refrain, "Where has Trump ever advocated or incited or endorsed violence?" I honestly don't understand how some of these people live with themselves. Worse, their attitudes and actions cause irreparable damage and get people killed. I just can't bring myself to make the effort when I am reasonably certain that it's almost entirely futile.

Not that I relish the killing part, or consider it a prudent strategic or tactical maneuver, but when did we abandon the "kill the fascists" sentiment? A lot of people are so bad/dangerous/idiotic that we would all be better off without them. Reform and rehabilitation is certainly desirable, but not always a possibility.

don't have a fear of Donald Trump. I have a dislike of his personality: his racism, his misogyny, his narcissism, his pathological lying, his criminal behaviour etc. What I fear is for the future of the US that I hoped it might become, in part because of the policies that Trump promised to enact, and in part because I misjudged the American voter and what they seem to want for themselves.
You sound like those silly people on the View, MSNBC, CNN, and the failed propaganda machines.
The American people, and people from around the world can see what has been happening in plain sight. Now we’ve had enough of it and the Americans have overwhelmingly made their sentiments known in an election that this time was too big to rig.

Yours, the extreme left, and the opinions the progressive nonsensical woke nonesense is of no value anymore, and is fading as we speak.

We will see in the coming years what the Trump administration has in stall. Let’s hope the loonies don’t plunge the world into war, with an extreme case of throwing their toys out of the pram.

Obviously you are entitled to to your opinion. I just don’t think your opinion is fully yours. I think you have drunk the Trump Derangement Syndrome Koolade, and now you are high as a kite.
I do hope you come to your senses soon

Except for the 250-plus million people who did not vote for Trump, I guess?

Are you forgetting that Trump massively increased the drone program--far surpassing in 4 years, what Obama did in 8 years. Trump is in no way opposed to war.

And please elaborate upon the logistics of the mass deportation program you favor. What is the cost? Where do you send these people? You do understand that the countries from which they came will not take them back, yes? (Rhetorical question. Of course you don't--you've already made that clear.) So where do you send them? And who will take their places in the construction industry, in agriculture, and elsewhere--are most Americans willing to work for sub-minimum wage pay, with no benefits, and work weeks vastly exceeding 40 hours? And what about their children, what are your plans for them?

And what of some of the other plans the "Trump administration has in stall?" Denying healthcare services to transgender persons, something which every medical organization and doctor in the world vehemently opposes?

And what is the intent behind the massive tariffs? Do you even know what tariffs are, and how they function?

Do you support "drill drill drill"? And Trump's plans to undo any and all environmental protection legislation? How that been working out for people? Nationwide drought, wildfires, prolonged and strengthened hurricane seasons, massive crop failures, flooding, the list goes on.

Then there's education? You seem blissfully unaware of plans to egregiously violate separation of church and state, by implementing overtly Christian "education" programs in school districts throughout the nation, or you're just lying.

Any plans for healthcare, or is Trump just gonna try to repeal the Affordable Care Act again? Abortion access, does that concern you at all, or are you just another misogynistic creep who considers women to be property of their husbands, or whores, skanks, whatever, who are somehow at fault when they are raped and forced to carry the child of their rapist?

Everytime I see this Kill the ACA thing pop up, I think of the Trump voter who was really pissed because he had voted for the guy who promised to eliminate Obamacare, not realizing that was the same thing as the ACA (which he depended on).

It's that meme about the Leopards Eating Faces Party, endlessly recycling itself.

Yet, it was your source, Fox News, that was successfully sued for hundreds of millions of dollars for lying to their viewers. Lying to you.
The American people, and people from around the world can see what has been happening in plain sight.
Exactly, and the world is terrified of the fact Maga lunatics will be in power.
Now we’ve had enough of it and the Americans have overwhelmingly made their sentiments known in an election that this time was too big to rig.
No evidence whatsoever, other than the word of Donald Trump, shows any election was rigged. Remember, Fox News paid millions because they lied about that. Notice, that Fox no longer make those claims anymore? Duh.
Yours, the extreme left, and the opinions the progressive nonsensical woke nonesense is of no value anymore, and is fading as we speak.
It was never there to being with other than contained within the vivid imaginations of Maga lunatics.

Trump and his loonies will no doubt cause massive damage to America and its allies. You, along with everyone else will be deeply and negatively affected by their insanity.

Trump Derangement Syndrome is yet another made up piece of Maga lies. Stupid people love Trump because they're stupid and haven't a clue of the real world around them. You have shown amply here that you are indeed one of them.

I'm aware that either Trek is just trolling or doing a very good impression of a stereotypical Trump supporter (possibly both), but sometimes one feels an urge to respond to a particular post, not for the inevitable quality of their response to it, but as a vehicle for getting one's own position on the record.

For some reason allusions to that phrase give me a Pavlovian urge to listen to some Floyd. ;) Not a bad thing to be afflicted with, though.

Can't type that fast, but am often blessed with an abundance of time. ;)
As for what Emerson would say... you'll have to tell me, as I'm not clued up on him. Unless you're referring to Emerson, Lake and Palmer?? :D

Other points noted. ;)

"Consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds."
-- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Conversely, I reckon Keith Emerson valued consistency. Unlike Rick Wakeman, I believe Emerson put in hours daily on rudimentary exercises; Wakeman did not, and as a consequence he was repeatedly diagnosed with some form of rheumatism. Until one day when an astute physician determined that the problems he was experiencing were a consequence of simply not practicing enough. Alcohol may also have been a contributing factor--I always got a kick out of the columns of beer bottles he stacked atop the organs and mellotrons.

Kinda funny, because Wakeman was seriously schooled, whereas Emerson was largely self-taught. He (Wakeman) must have missed the day on which they stressed they importance of keeping up with the rudiments.
