I wonder if anyone else will comment on this thread in the old defensive way.

Probably. The other side has pretty much rested; there's no other strategy that can really be followed in the face of the evidence.

It appears that such a thing is considered inherently wrong by everyone.

Possibly. But there are those that turn a blind eye.
 
Nothing will change. The clampdowns will be harder and more forceful than before. Hopefully the White House will take this as a sign to cease tampering with foreign governments, or at least scale it back to some appropriate level.

One of the reasons that the islamic council became the government is because of the US' fucking around with coups. I appreciate that every nation has commercial interests, and that it was back in a period when the US and Soviets both used to do it, but it's usually a bad idea.

It's not the US' "fault" per se, but the coup was a bad idea. It is partially responsible for the problems now.

YET - that does not absolve Iran of guilt here. It's one thing to fuck up international politics so badly that a bunch of religious fascists take power. It's another thing to actually be a religious fascist. Iran's Supreme Council is responsible for their own actions.

well thats what any logical person would say, but the abrahamics seem to think that gays are an insult to god, im just asking whether sandy would do any different were she in a position of power or if she is just stirring hate speech.
