But I'm sure De-Grasse Tyson has, and irrespective of my research into the subject, how do you know the audience has not also done the research.

I'm not saying that no ETI has ever visited Earth. I'm saying there is no evidence for such a claim.
And I claim that there is not anywhere near enough evidence to support any UFO sightings to be of alien origin and also no evidence to support any visitation.
