Love, devotion, and honesty are the three most important. Of course, with TRUE love comes devotion and honesty.

confident honesty. a girl who's not totally passive, but respects you enough to share her honest thought,

plus smart and fun, outgoing, nice body, the usual

If she likes me, that's all I need...as long as she ain't phugly or mentally challenged.
 
Intellect, I realised that when you are in a relationship with a woman who is beautiful but stupid, you have nothing to speak about, or even share. So screw Beauty, I would rather be with a smart woman.

I definately say intellect too. I can be with a girl who isn't particularly a good dresser, or a party animal, or even someone who doesn't like the same things i do, so long as she has a wide intellect and an open mind I can be interested for hours on end.

Well, sure! But the difference is a puppy will grow to love you whether you almost no matter what you do or say! Damn women will just walk out on you without a backward glance. No puppy would ever do that. Puppies Rule!!

The difference, of course, is "true love" ....which women NOR men can actual feel or express.

And then in college all of the pretty girls were hanging out with the frat boys?

No, Top Mosker, the problem was that I DID grow up with those little girls and did kiss them. And in doing so, I learned about them. I also grew up with puppy dogs ...and learned about them, too. I just now prefer the dogs to the women! ...LOL!

I would say Intelligence but, someone can be stupid and still be fun. Half of my friends think New Jersey is a city. I have had some great relationships with girls who were not Ph.D candidates. Being brutally honest.... I like trophies. I know I know......
 
Most of the things you guys said, I would agree with. So I'll just stress sense of humor. I just can't hang with people who don't get jokes, don't like funny movies, and don't see the free humor in everyday situations. I don't suppose I show my sense of humor here very often because I'm always the serious old guy earnestly lecturing you on Life's Great Themes. But I love to laugh.

Actually after my first wife was found to be a "high maintanance" type and they can put you into the poor house then move along to another sucker that sees something in her as I once did. I won't be blinded ever again.
 
The very same thing happened to my uncle cosmictraveler. He lost everything being too heartbroken to fight back. Had a massive heart attack at age 41. Now he has 20% ejection fraction and can't really do anything anymore. How the court expects a man making $30,000 yearly to pay $800 a month child support is beyond me.
