i was wondering what sorts of meat people had eaten

in our game class we tried roo (that is SOOOO yummy), walaby, emu and we were surposed to try camel but never got around to cooking it

on the weekend i bought some smoked eel and australian possum (imported from tassie because its protected here, costs $40 a kg)

croc is also a popular meat here but you can only get it when they are skining aparently

so what have you eaten?
 
I'm vegan right now, but before that, I've tried frog legs, snake, ostrich, antelope, and I think monkey too (China...).
 
Strangest meat I've ever tasted was raw seal and whale blubber, while working in Iqaluit (Baffin Island)............ soft gooey and warm going down your throat. Almost instananeous gagging.
 
I don't realy know which is the weirdest :
snail, frog legs (both really nice meats), ostrich, bison, roe-deer, grasshopper...

Ive had gator, frog legs, squirrel, possom, dear, elk, buffalo, crawdads and ants when I was little.
 
weirdest meat i had was beef when i was 10. it was really really awful. i don't know why so many people love it.

You must have tried some boring steak. Go try fried cow brains, cow tongue, bow balls, stuffed intestines, or sucking bone marrows. Now that's good stuff.

No hard feeling airavata. I know you're hindu and was surprise to see you here, so I entered in the subject althought I was not really interested. My best girlfriend at work is Indian and has made a vegetarian out of me. I'm cow clean for 3 years now.....with the exception of 8 month ago, I couldn't resist burger king. I never liked meat anyway when I was a kid, I don't miss it.

no harm done heflores :) . i just remembered where i had the beef....it was at a christian friends house. that dognever told me it was beef, i assumed it was chicken or something and took a bite. needless to say, it was VILE:D
 
I turned vegitarian when I was twelve, but before that I had eaten lots of strange crap.

A few different species of whale and shark, horse, sheep balls, frog legs, rabbit, some sort of snake, and lots of other stuff I can't recall.
 
they're all pretty wierd if you ask me. i don't know why one would be wierder than another. they are all animals, no?

what i think would be the wierest, although i haven't tried, is human meat because of all the garbage people put in themselves and all the nasty chemicals they put themselves in contact with. certainly not a wholesome meal.

People meat would taste just like pig. We have same exact composition, blood makeup, and diet. We even squeal the same way when confronted with death.
 
I don't eat much meat anymore. But I can tell you what I've tried.

Goat, Deer, Possum, Skunk, Snake, Cow, Duck, Fish, Coon, and Cow.

All of meats are very odd. The oddest of them all, human. Although I haven't tried it, yet.

Hot Dog: Dog, Cat, Pigeon, rat, and leftover garbage.
 
Buffalo, Cow, Snails(worse thing ever wont try em again ugg), chicken, pig, hot dog, spam :eek: , all kind of fish.

So human would taste like pork huh? I'd try it if it were legal! Hey maybe Jeffery Dommer knows something we dont :bugeye: :eek:
 
the toughest friggin meat i've eaten was rabbit and i HATE liver.

It was made by a girl who lived in France for me. It was the texture that made my gag more than anything. Sorta like when I tried Menudo, the tripe texture NO WAY UUUGGG!!!

Would like to try some Elk and Moose steaks though.
 
oysters and clams taste better uncooked than cooked. Fired is ok., but boiled is disgusting. Best is uncooked with some hot sauce, lemon, and salt....Maybe snails can be done the same way.
