Why do they work as pornstars?
Don't they feel shame if their friends or relatives happen to watch their "acts" in the movies they filmed?
Are they paid lucratively to shoot porn movies?

Pornstars are trash. Most of them aren't paid much to do porn, only the companies make the big profit. People who work in call centres usually make more than them unless they're famous in the industry. Most of them feel no shame. A lot of them were raped, or something happened to them.

because they do not know of other emotions people are capable of, that will surpass the power, money, and gratification that comes from sex. USA's main goal is to make people rich and feel "free", pornstars have gained the money and are "free". I bet it's the fame and not just money that creates such high pool of sex workers. No one will blame them or condemn them, they got the country supporting them which tells them to do what they want and feel free with their feelings. So they let themselves loose. The only weapon against this system is STD.

I think a lot of them just like getting paid for doing something they enjoy.

Most of them line up to sign up.

They should feel guilt an shame. Most I don't think intend to stay in the business long term. An I had heard they are stricter now about std prevention.

girls line up for the sex industry to become a pornstar, there is money and fame there for them. Their boobs and vaginas will be seen across the globe  while they can do their pedicure and brush-ups and living the high life. What shame and guilt? They dont feel anything close to that, its a fight on business, take out the competition and have lots of fun.

What bugs me is not why don't they feel guilt or shame, but that they are able to find a soul mate and even make a family of their own after what their "work" is done? Has the person who accepts such a woman have no shame and dignity? That is the question I ask.

A married woman, a mother, can become a pornstar too?
Watched by her children?

Let's be honest, Saint doesn't start these threads to really gauge people's opinions, he's probably just thinking out loud about marrying a pornstar.

Some girls are abducted and forced into doing the things that are seen in porn movies. Not all of them but some. The ones who are shown all beaten up and made to go through torture and bleed are some of the abducted ones but again not all. I just think it is very demeaning to a woman to have to sell herself to that porn industry to earn a living for it doesn't last to long when they get older the industry justs throws them away getting younger girls to fill their spots. If there was another way for them to earn money I'm sure they would do it but today womens jobs are not easily found and men run the show.:(

They are exhibitionist. Many of them can't get off doing it in private. So if it's a choice of getting off or not getting off, what are you going to do? Besides if you want to meet other like minded people, where better?:D

Its just that there are some women who don't want to be doing this but are forced into it for one reason or another. I don't know what the percentages are about when trying to find out how many are "volunteers" and who are not. That is why whenever anyone views a porn movie you really don't know for certain if the people there are "willing" or under some kind of duress, drugs, threats or something else.

Many unlikely women might be in a porn movie, but to really be a porn star you have to really like what you are doing. I'm sorry but you can't be a star at anything you don't want to be doing. Just not going to happen.

We could make the same argument about a girl working at the supermarket...is she willing, or was she forced to get a job by her husband, or random circumstances.

It is dangerous? Yes, there's an element of danger in many jobs...and even sports, which people dont even get paid for.

Why do they work as pornstars?

I'm told that, these days, most do it as a form of advertizing for "private shoots," i.e., high-profile prostitution. Apparently that's where the real money is. At least in the USA, that is.

I'm sure there are myriad other reasons, but supposedly that's the big one.

I'm sure some do, although I'm guessing mostly the issue isn't "shame," but awkward situations that creates with family members who do not approve.

Are they paid lucratively to shoot porn movies?

Supposedly female performers working in the right market segment can get paid pretty handsomely, although again I'm told the real money is in the prostitution side-business.

I have an old friend who claimed to want to be in porn. He has an obsession with sex and from what I hear, is unexpectedly good at it. He weighs over 300 lbs and isn't someone you would expect to be a ladies' man just by looking at him. but I am often flabbergasted at how many "hot chicks" go home with him.

But as a friend, I also witnessed him go 2 years celibate in hopes to win the heart of a girl he was infatuated with. She ended up screwing some other guy. Go figure. he was devastated and that's when his apparent sexual addiction began.

I'm guessing that the porn is like a drug for some. They live the fantasy that they are loved for a short period of time and get paid for it. I don't think it is always just bout getting off, being coerced, or on drugs. We all have our demons that make us do things we aren't proud of. Things we would never ideally do. And for some, they just really like what they do.
We don't all define reality the same as others. I imagine there could be a culture where public displays of sex are the norm and considered a high a high honor to be allowed to participate.

Most people have a small world view and are not able to consider the possibility of there being other ways to be and still be ok.
