IMO Spiderman is the just about the weakest superhero ever created. His powers are the ability climb wall, his "spidey sense" and shooting string.

A jedi has a light sabre, can move objects with mind, can equal or beat spideys agility, can see the future and can control minds. A jedi seems to be completely invincible to anybody except another jedi, or these weird creatures from the books that i havent read and the only reason i know about them is from the roleplaying game. (damn they're a bugger to fight)

Yeah of course spidey would get his acrobatic butt kicked, but as Thor said, if they would fight as equals, spidey would rule!

Well seeing as spiderman is geneticaly modified and by a radioctive spider at that, who is to say that his inv=creased nuroligical abilities dont have the benefit of being impervious to mind control ? as you all know not all creatures can be controlled by the jedi mind meld, so that one will just have to call a draw,

The jedi ability to see the future, well seeing as most of them apear to have been killed off they didnt do too good a job of that did they, speed i would put them on a par, as for walking on ceilings well we will just have to hope they aint fighting on one.

As the spider sence is a reflex action this im afraid to say should give the webslinger an advantage, i never seen a jedi look into the future during a fight, reflexes and instinct would play a big part.

My money is on the guy in the tights.

You do every time they block a laser shot.

Spidey's agility wont help him at all becasue the jedi can just push him the the floor with the force and kill him easily. He could also use force choke to instantly kill him (if he wants to pick up a darkside point).
 
Jedi would masacre Spidey. Don't get me wrong, Spiderman is the nit, but come on. Darth Vader would just do his choking thing while Spidey is on the wall and then just step on him...bye-bye little spider.
 
I'm affraid I have to agree... A Jedi would easily defeat Spiderman, depending of who is the Jedi curs...
Put Obi-Wan in against Spidey, and there wouldn't be a fight at all (2 good guys who both prefer to talk before fight).
But put Palpatine in front of P.Parker aka Spidey, Spikey would bite the dust, and Palpy would have enough time to get back to the studios to finish starring in Star Wars Episode 3 ;-D
I mean, Lightning? Deadly Sight? Force Surge? Destruction Ball? K, sorry, used to play Jedi Knight on MSN Gaming zone... But to control the force is to control ones environment, which means in human term, that Pal would just pull Spidey towards him (much like Darth Vader grips practicly everybody he sees) and finish him off while spidey helplessly floats in the air grasping for.....more air ;-D
 
Spider-Man has always been the man, he could think up a solution to fightin' a Jedi. You got to remember, he is no all bulk and beans (Or whatever) he's got wits too. He created his web blasters on his own (contray to the movie), he could build something or get one of his lab pals to help him. He is friends with all of those scientists. And I mean, c'mon, Jedi die all the time, Spidey hasn't died yet! And he's been around much longer.
 
jedi all the way lets run down what powers jedi have well most of them


force jump- makes them able to jump 20-100 feet into the air.

force speed - movment rate of about 80% faster then normal.

force pull - pull a target or item to the user to get them in saber range or use it with the force jump to pull the target into the air 40-100 feet

force push - smash the target into a wall or push them or a object comming at you away.

force sence - the abilty to see into the near future to see what is going to happen thats how they block blaster bolts.

light saber block - used deflet or cut incoming threats uses force sence

force heal - heals the jedi's body in a short amount of time only good on light damages

force meditation - heals larger wounds and broken bones over a longer time

force lighting - shoots electrity out of the jedi's fingers frying targets

force storm - makes 150 mile a hour winds to from a small tornado to hold a
target in the air or to smash them into wall or objects into said target.

saber toss - toss a light saber and use the force to direct it as a cutting weapon

froce choke - choke's the target to death

force crush - crushes the targets bones / body with the force

force levitation - lets the jedi flot in the air for a short amount of time or use
it as a platform to jump higher

force tap - drains the life force from a target and gives it to the sith/jedi

force death - does masive damage to the mind of the target in most people killing them

jedi mind trick - tricks the weak minded into doing things for you or making you less noticable to others.

Force Armor - covers the jedi with force energy deflecting most damage that would be delt to him or her.

free bonds - uses the force to free the jedi from bondage.

force trance - used for healing and for seeing into the future

mind wipe - wipe the targets mind to a blank slate.

mind control - control a target like a pupit.

force rage - jedi goes onto a rage moving faster and taking half damage and
doing twice the damage at a cost of his life.

pain control - suppresses pain letting the jedi fight with mastive damage

Remove fatigue - removes fatigue letting the jedi fight longer

sence life - lets the jedi sence living things near him

force web - draws energy from the living things around him

stun resist - uses the force to buffer impacts aginst him

maginfy sences - lets the jedi by using the force magnify his sences to a hightend level.

jedi strength - gives the jedi more strength by using the force to infuse his muscles

force telekenisses - lets the jedi lift objects up to 110 metric tons by using the force

inflitct pain - makes the target feel pain in the way the jedi wants ie. burning/cuts/beatings/ being eaten

Waves of darkenss - puts out energy making a blast wave nocking groups of
targets to the ground or sending them flying.

dim other sences - make targets unable to hear/see/feel things around him, its a advanced form of mind trick

force clone - lets the jedi make a copy of him self made out of pure force energy fighting with half the skill of the original

elemental control - uses the force to bring ambent heat to a point or remove that heat. So jedi can bring all the heat from a area to one point to make light or fire. or he can move all the heat away from water and make it freeze. this is ranged ablitly but the closer the target the easer it is.


this is not all the jedi ablitys just the ones that are most likly usefull to a fight with spider man.

spider man ablitys

web - lets him make spider webs of diffent sapes and types
spider sence - lets him now if danger is comming
spider reflexes - lets him move with faster reaction time's
spider strength - lets him lift large objects
wall crawl - lets him crawl on walls


as you can see the jedi has move things going for him then spider man not to mention the fact that spider man is always getting hit by some body and if a jedi connects once with the saber its over.

I've gotta go with spider-man, his spider sense is like precognition, so no matter
how many times the jedi swings that light sabre he's only going to cut through
air, and even if he was 'Force lifted' he would shoot not one but two web lines
at the jedi one aimed for the eyes the other to pull the jedi's feet from under
them.

This is not the case, spidey is a rational fighter, he's smart first strong second,
when he knows an opponent is that strong (carrying a light sabre) he wouldn't
allow himself to be hit, he would keep his distance and dodge everything thrown at him.

All spidey would need would be a fration of a second, and he could punch
the head off of the jedi's body, dont forget he always pulls his punches, as he's a
good guy and doesn't want to hurt anyone (well maybe the odd few)

Imho over the years spidey has fought and beaten stronger/smarter
opponents so i doubt a jedi would be any different.

And yes Marvel fan boy is me :D

hummm jedi see's spider man and then uses force crush on his legs arms and head. humm end of spider man. or how about uses force crush on his heart. jedi dont have to use a saber to kill.



spider shoots web at him he force pusses the web off target. or jedi jumps into the air above spide and force pushes him into the ground? or uses choke to hold him in the air then though his saber at him to cut him in half. or rost him with lightning wile he is in the air?

jedi picks up a tanker truck and chucks it at spider man. spider man sences this and starts to jump out of the way. jedi force grips him and holds him in place. tanker hits him and explodes.

jedi uses dim sence on him and now spider man can't see or hear or feel. jedi walks up and cuts him down.

jedi uses death touch on him destorying his mind. jedi walks off.

spider man shoots webbing at him jedi uses force pull on the webing to pull spider man to him.

remember jedi can see whats going to happen before it does and has force speed. so that kind of makes sidermans sences useless as well as the jedi's

so the jedi will have to make it so he can't dodge pick him up in the air and smash him with somehing. or use the force to crush/ disable the web shooters. Giving the jedi more of a edge.


sith would use this more then jedi but put the public in danger to force spider man to try to save them then use the force to hold him in place or life tap him to death.



its not that the jedi is more powerfull which he is but the ways spider man can attack the jedi are limited and easly countered by a trained jedi.

If i was the jedi fighting him I would walk up act all nice then use the force to raise the temp of the air in his lungs to 200 deg. + cooking him from the inside out. How do you fight back when your lungs are on fire?
 
Can i ask where you've gleamed all this information on the strength, speed and fighting skills of said
arachno-guy? As it seems uninformed to me. Basically a jedi is someone
with mastery of psionics and a sword that can melt steel or whatever.

If all jedi's are that powerful, how come they all got wiped out?

Really though no matter what scenario i post where Spider-Man would be the victor
i'm sure that a Jedi death touch or whatever would come into play and the table would
be turned, so i'm going to say that the outcome depends on who the author of the
fight favours.
 
Against a Jedi Master or a Sith Lord, Spider Man would probably go down swinging.

Any normal Knight, though, would hardly be a match for the Spidey.
