Don't listen to spidergoat. He's determined to never give kudos where kudos is due, especially regarding Middle Easterners.

Tunisia is a great country, historically; I wonder, are the ruins of Carthage still there?

I am from Damascus, by the way :)

really!! i love damascus, i hope if i can go there in summer,

and about carthage ruins, yeah, they still there, with soem other roman ruins,
and other old arabian cities, and also french, and european in general,

madant:

Surely you know Hannibal? The Punic wars? Where do you think that is?:p

The Romans came to power by sacking Carthage and destroying the city

The city has been rebuilt several times, including under the Romans

It has a fascinating history
Of course i know about Hannibal and the Punic wars, but he was from Carthage and I thought the Romans totally destroyed Carthage and salted the earth so that no city could ever be built there again.

No link in post 44 still does not work for me, I suspect you are trying to let readers of this S&S forum know about your posts in the B&E forum. Here is link to your last post there:

http://www.sciforums.com/showpost.php?p=2478603&postcount=46

Note the format is entirely different. You get it by right clicking on the post number in top right corner of the post. Then left click on the menue item than means copy the link location (exactly what words are displayed will depend on the browser you are using.)

Mod Hat — Brief notes

Sciforums search engine links break as quickly as they are invoked. The searchid number does not remain stable from one search to the next. I'm unsure of what, if anything, beyond a sequential number the searchid represents.

Topic is a rubbish — Good enough for me. This one is done. (It seems as much a travel brochure for Tunisia as anything else.)
