Since when does paradise have to be a religious place?

Then why post this thread on the religion section - why not on free thoughts?

M*W: Where is Paradise? Is it:

Eden (now Iraq)
Mecca (Saudia Arabia)
Jerusalem (Israel)
Palestine (Israel)
Salt Lake City (Utah)
The Vatican (Italy)
Washington, DC (USA)
Pebble Beach (California)
Boca Raton (Florida)

Indigenous people say Paradise is HERE. Yes Earth,
Now if i say that now to a ghetto-dweller or pople suffering starving etc in 'developing' world what will that say?

So we see tat mindsets that HATE Naturehave MADE Nature hell for people AND othe species/

So THA is theproblem, becaue they cannot understand Nature is paradise

tis is easy to chack. see their myths, and they all harp on about pradise being somewher else. or when Natureis 'spiritualizewhat ever THA means

so anyway. yes. it is here. wonderful Nature

For all the christians out there, why don't you provide proof that what you believe is true? And don't bring the book of man, the Bible into it.

I love asking christians where Eden's at, or what the story of the Flood was all about, but I really love to stump them when I ask about the Ancient Religions, and how they all had a "God" that died and rose from the dead, be it the next day, 3 days, or a week later. Usually, they just come back with the "faith" card. Well, think about this, christians, maybe us who don't believe in the way you do have faith in what we believe.

I'm tempted into having a long long long conversation with you... sadly i never see you post on the Religion forums so you will probably never see this reply... :m:

Paradise or hell is just a state of mind…..

I heard a children’s story recently;

A man died and went to the afterlife. He was first shown hell, which was full of hungry suffering people, with bowls of food in front of them and in their hands spoons longer than their arms. They were all hungry and suffering because they couldn’t get the food to their mouth with the long spoons.

“I am I going here” said the worried man, no its OK said the voice you are going to paradise.

He was then shown paradise, but all he saw were the same people with bowls of food and spoons longer than their arms. “hang on this is exactly the same as hell” said the man. But he was told to look again, he then realised that all the people here were happy with their long spoons and bowls of food.

Why - because the people in paradise had learnt to feed each other.

Yes, I know it’s a bit trite and sickening – but I did say it’s a childrens story. Anyway, the principal it is trying to demonstrate is a sound one.
