Not only inability to support their claims but often unwillingness to try.
<>
Their unwillingness is no doubt driven by their inability.
Lets face it... if a theist had anything they would be buying bill board space....but they have nothing other than "faith"...and lets face it if the only way you can believe in something is by "faith" that means you have only faith in the absence of facts and evidence.
Despite the flaws they have the answer...faith...with faith the flaws become invisable... there was a flood and God killed all humans 4500 years ago bar 8 individuals and although there is no evidence of such a flood they believe...via faith...shows how reliable faith isnt.
What they are really saying is "We have no facts or evidence and all we have is an unfounded belief that all these unsupported claims and made up superstitious stories somehow could be the way it is ... which happily coincides with our wishful thinking."
And wishful thinking it is...that thinking produces a delussion that there is a creator of an incredibly incomprehensible large universe and that somehow that creator did it all so humans could worship that creator and be granted never ending existence.
How it does not sound rather far fetched to them is curious but entirely apparent.
BUT The motivator for the theist seems to be fear...they fear hell and they fear death... more than they fear reality.
You would think that some theist reading any of this would say "I will show them thar afeists with proof of God" and come forward and prove all they rattle on about is not just made up superstitious God stories.
You could expect that the seemingly intelligent theists here could resolve the matter of Gods existence...well if they can not, and they seem smart and clever, is it not reasonable to conclude that although they wont shut up they are absolutely incapable of "putting up".
