Cosmic: ANOTHER reminder!

Please do not monopolize this thread with multiple posts. If someone pops in here and scrolls, they might see ONLY YOUR POSTS! This does not make it very interesting for the other members.

Please limit yourself to one post at a time, and then wait patiently for someone else to have a turn.

How long does one wait? Sometimes no one posts here for days! Seems that no matter who posts as long as they post about music it really shouldn't matter. This thread is only about music whoevers it may be.

My impression is that this is practically a "write-only" thread. I don't see people discussing anything. I wonder how many members come here actually looking for suggestions of music to hear. So many of the titles posted are "Classic Rock," not new music we might not be familiar with and would appreciate someone's recommendation.

I hardly need anyone to remind me that "Born under a Bad Sign," "Cocaine," "Long Tall Sally," "Monday Monday," "Smoke on the Water," "I Fought the Law and the Law Won," "Puff the Magic Dragon," and "The Green Green Grass of Home" are good tunes! I have most of those albums. And if I weren't already familiar with them, these posts don't give me a clue as to whether they're the kind of music I might like.

As I've pointed out before, this thread looks more like a personal diary for three or four members who do 99% of the posting. SciForums is supposed to be a discussion board; I would really like to see more discussion. Even the people who post don't say anything!!!

It is to bad that few musical groups today are , to me, not as good as the "classic" bands ever were. There are exceptions to this from time to time but over all I'd rather listen to the "oldies" than the newbies. If I come across a band of today I will post them as I have done with "Beck", "Cage The Elephant' and Lady "Ga Ga". I'd think that posting any song is better than not posting something and if only few of us do so it is better than no one doing so. As for a personal diary well that's your opinion but to me I enjoy listening to the music I post every day and even if I don't post anything I still will be listening to something.
