What is evil

"Evil" is an opinion. Two differnet people can look at the same action and deem it "evil" or "good". However, there are accepted moral standards of modern society that help with defining "evil" or "good". For the most part though, it's an opinion.

Evil is an idea created by mainstream religion. For example, christianity with the snake. It's a way of saying "I'm right and you're wrong" with only one word. There is no absolute evil, and the word itself carries no water, because it's simply a differance in point of view.

First you need to separate "wrong" from "evil". "Wrong" is strictly a localized definition. In my house, it's wrong to knock on the bathroom door to ask the occupant a question (unless it's really really urgent). We just respect that sort of privacy. My neighbor, however, sees nothing wrong with knocking on the bathroom door and asking if you want a sandwich.
How do you ask someone if they want a sandwich it they're in the bathroom at your house, then?
