wait for it.. wait for it.. OH DAMN

Me? I was hit by a woman before, and I just took it. Plus, "initiation" is subject to discussion. This woman did not hit the officer, she resisted, that's true. And the officer lost his temper and reached a quick conclusion that if she is resisting he has right to hit her. Sorry, it's unacceptable by my standards.

The cop became physical first.
He grabed her, and she pushed him off. Thats what started it all.

Because that male cop was in no life danger from a 17 year old female. These people are human beings, not prisoners, not terriost, not crimanls. Cops can do whatever they want. They are the states protecters and the indivsiuals abusers.
She didnt have a weopan, and she was defending her rights as a HUMAN BEING to not be physicaly assualted even if its by a police officer.
He physicaly attacked her first.

The cop called them over to talk to them about jaywalking. They decided to disregard this and walk away, so the cop grabbed one woman by the arm. That's not the same as attacking someone.

I am not discussing on who started physical contact first. The cop hit first anyway, and that's enough for me. If you are going to analyse "who grabbed who first", someone will remind you that the police must grab someone if the intention is arrest. But hitting is different, because hitting includes "intention to damage".

I would of pushed the stupid cop off of me too

Jaywalking is not a detaneible offence

The cop just didn't feel like doing his job that day

What would have been wrong with grabbing her wrist, sweeping her legs, cuffing her, and hauling her ass to jail for assaulting a police officer? Local radio station KUOW covered the story in their weekly wrap-up on Weekday, featuring three local journalists discussing the week's news. The audio for today's program is already available.

She disregarded the officer when he called her over to talk to her. Then she violently resisted when he tried to make her comply. She deserved to get punched.

She didnt assult the police, the police grabed her, she pushed him back.
Cops dont have free reign. Well they do, but they shouldnt

So she deserves to be physicaly assualted?
By a much older, much stronger male police officer.

If she didn't want to be roughed up by the cop, she shouldn't have initiated a conflict. If she's big enough and old enough to do this, she's big enough and old enough to suffer the consequences of it.

Jaywalking is not a detaneible offence

But resisting a police officer is. And if she didn't stop when the police wanted to have a word with her, he will have every right to defend his position on suspicion in the eyes of law.

She resisted when the cop violently attempted to arrest her for an undetainable offence.
No one deserves to get there ass whoped by someone twice there age and size for an un-violent offense such as jaywalking.

That's pretty much a textbook example of assaulting the police. Regardless of how you feel about police or jaywalking laws, they DO have a right to detain people (by force if necessary) when they've broken the law. Had this woman not been a dumbass and simply waited for a few minutes while the cop lectured her about the dangers of jaywalking, she wouldn't have got punched.

The cop grabbed her arm when she tried to walk away after he witnessed her breaking a law. You may not get sent to jail for certain crimes, but fleeing and/or resisting the officer when he or she tries to cite you for those crimes can result in a justifiable ass-kicking.

Yes, and much worse, too; remember, I said he should have shot her.

I hope that one day, your children, your wife, close friend ect. is stopped by a police for jaywalking, and is physicaly assulted by such cop. And when they rightfuly defened themselves, they get shot.
Then you will feel the pain and stupidty in what youre saying.
This is a human being, that has family and friends.

Criminals are not human beings.

Criminals are not human beings.

Thats a disguesting way to look at things.
Especialy since we have ALL somehow broken the law.
Ever not come to a complete stop at a stop sign?
Ever jaywalked?
If you've ever broken the slightest, most innocent law then you are a criminal. Then you are not a human being?
Thats gross. Just sickening thing to think of.
