I thought I actually said ""making things up." If I said "inferred" then fair enough.inference itself was sufficient to dismiss

Yes you agree all inferences are not equivalent?Anything else?
Why does Trek lie about science? As I was going up the stair
I met a god who wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today!
I wish, I wish he'd go away!
As cells form in gloopy goo
I find that me and my atheist crew
Are as happy as can be
For we are right
As long as we agree
Im just being lighthearted Pinball. People make colourful remarks about God, theists, and the concept of God and you don't seem to mind. Why does Trek lie about science?
Again and again with dumb defiance.
Citing stories, backward garbage.
Creationist nonsense, with IQ shortage.
PLEASE read a book, paper or journal.
A science text, something formal.
Let truth, wisdom and facts prevail.
Throw away those tribal tales.
So what is your definition of God?I study scholarship on NT and a little on OT so all good.
A supernatural being that was behind the creation. All powerful present. So what is your definition of God?
That should be what WAS your definition of god.So what is your definition of God?
Okay. What evidence would convince you that such a being could be real. I’ll start off with the obvious one “the creation” itselfA supernatural being that was behind the creation. All powerful present.
That was in my definition of God.That should be what WAS your definition of god.
Ok. Obviously I don't really have anything specific now because I rejected the idea a long time ago. That was in my definition of God.
Yes that convinced me before I learned about science. That in combination with scripture.Okay. What evidence would convince you that such a being could be real. I’ll start off with the obvious one “the creation” itself
What was it about learning science that lead you to believe there is no God?Yes that convinced me before I learned about science. That in combination with scripture.
What if it was universal. Over hails the planet? It would have to be universal, every person on the planet. A personal revelation I would put down to mistake, coincidence, acute fever/illness or insanity.
Making things up to explain through reasoning is to infer.I thought I actually said ""making things up." If I said "inferred" then fair enough.
I would never dismiss an inference out of hand. I would always look at the reasoning. To dismiss simply on the basis of being an inference, i.e. out of hand, would be fallacious.Yes you agree all inferences are not equivalent?
Some you would trust, others dismiss out of hand?
That was not it. I just accepted science was also something to do with god. What was it about learning science that lead you to believe there is no God?
Yes most likely. Does it matter which god we are talking about here? What if it was universal. Over hails the planet?
The other thing is that the rejection, for me at least was total. Not just the existence of a god but THE specific god of my religion Yhwh AND Jesus and absolutely everything that went with it. This was a long process in the making that ended up with no one but me and the Bible in the attic. What was it about learning science that lead you to believe there is no God?
