The Trump Presidency

And these are all part of the State.
Of course, many parts of the deep state are also parts of the state. Others not. Big corporations are usually private. A lot of "think tanks" are private, but have a role in the deep state. And many parts of the state have nothing to say.
Agencies of the State becoming "pro-Trump" instead of carrying out their charter responsibilities and so forth is indeed a feature of the fascist agenda - we are all, if sane, fighting that increasingly dangerous tendency of the American State. You should too.
Instead of "pro-Clinton" is more appropriate. The secret services carrying out their charter responsibilities is a nice joke. And I'm fighting the US as a whole, as the most dangerous state of the world, the greatest danger to peace and to the whole mankind. And I do this all the time. Instead of supporting this fascism half of the time when fascists from the left rule.
Nobody knows what Clinton would have done, would be more accurate.
Of course, but we have heard what she has actually said Trump should do, in this particular situation. http://edition.cnn.com/2017/04/06/politics/hillary-clinton-syria-assad/ if you have forgotten.
What does your good common sense tell you is the future of that current trend?
There will be a change from the unipolar toward a multipolar world. Such a change is always extremely dangerous, because the side which loses its power in such situations tends to act irrationally and start a big war. Which, in the actual situation, may become the end of mankind.
btw: Are you at least aware of the role of the "unipolar" US in keeping SA and Africa nuclear free so far? You who claim to fear nuclear war above all else
You mean by cheating Ghaddafi and then, once he was stupid enough to stop developing his own nuclear weapons, murdering him? And, no, I do not fear nuclear war above all else. I fear only a big global nuclear war, US vs. Russia and China, above all, because this could be the end of mankind. The Libyan population would have been, obviously, much better of if Ghaddafi would have followed the NK way to deter the NATO from aggression.

how much more conservative and tribal can you get. the expected pick is not the best qualified but just one of 'thar own.' he is an extreme conservative with the history to prove it.

that's the thing about the conservative mindset, it is about power, not qualifications or they'll play bias with that.

When Barbara Walters asked Trump in 1987 whether he would like to be appointed president of the United States, rather than having to run for the job, Trump said no: “It’s the hunt that I believe I love.”

i think this explains a lot. it is a game to him. it may not be something he actually takes seriously or a job he enjoys. he wants the top status, limelight, (good) publicity, the ego stroke of being president moreso. another ego-driven conquest.

Living and learning about fascism.
Things can get much worse - they did, for a while, under the last Republican administration. They will again, if the current administration has its way.

Not from Trump's current trends.
Only if you restrict your "poles" to nation States, which you claimed to not be doing, and even then only if the US military fails. Either way, under Trump's advocated policies and behaviors you're looking at an increased risk of war involving nuclear powers.
Such a change is always extremely dangerous, because the side which loses its power in such situations tends to act irrationally and start a big war. Which, in the actual situation, may become the end of mankind.
Why aren't you worried about the US military buildup Trump advocates? The unipolar corporate hegemony he seems to be engaged in advancing?
One would think an unstable and irrationally belligerent actor who favors military aggression and the use of nukes would be the last person you hope for in the White House - and their advocacy of military buildup, including upgrades in nuclear weapons, would be a warning to you.
You mean by cheating Ghaddafi and then, once he was stupid enough to stop developing his own nuclear weapons, murdering him?
Among others - many others. The same tactics you support elsewhere - such as in Syria, with Putin. However it happened - and you claim not to mind the means - the areas under US oversight and influence are largely free of nuclear weapons.

I just love the idea that, in these United States, the people who always argue that government doesn't work are also advocating the idea of a Deep State which is apparently incredibly organized and efficient.

We now presume a conspiracy theory requiring how many parts, every time we go off about the "Deep State"?

The media has always been biased left. The reason is, the media earns its money helping to sell goods and services. They will do this for anyone with money, who is willing to pay for services. To be good at selling even swamp land, you can't be too truthful, but need to generate fantasy. Not all goods and services are optimized, so you need to sell in ways that may need to be part truth, cherry pick the data, or add emotional appeal. Does this sound similar.

Hogwash! Your assertion here is how the right wing explains away unpleasant truths to its base. By labeling the mainstream, i.e. traditional media, as left and biased, it allows right wing nuts to summarily and without merit or thought dismiss everything right wing leaders find to be unpleasant.

It’s an effective but chilling tactic. It foments ignorance and renders a big section of the Republican base ignorant and very vulnerable to manipulation by party leaders, e.g. Trump. In order to have a healthy democracy, we need a well informed electorate. And thanks to Wellwisher and folks like her and those who lead her, that’s not what we have today.

The left is more suited to change. To give them credit they come up with more new ideas, many based on emotional appeal. While conservative is more about what already works, and what has stood the test of time. The right is not as optimized to sell new stuff or stuff that is not as logically optimized if new.

The exact opposite is true. Obamacare was a Republican idea. The irony here is the Republican Party is built on emotional appeal, and it’s very easy to prove. Just tune into right wing media. It’s all based on a foundation of ignorance, fear, and hate.

There is nothing about the Republican Party public policy which is constructed around what works for most Americans…nada…not a damn thing. The Republican Party is built to serve the needs of the wealthiest Americans at the expense of the poor and the American middle class.

The American right wing has an extensive propaganda machine. Democrats have nothing even remotely similar. Were it not for the right wing propaganda machine and the assistance of a hostile foreign power Republicans would control nothing in Washington. The American right is very well positioned to deliver its message. Unfortunately for Republicans most Americans are not as dumb or as gullible as is the Republican base.

Trump was sold by the left, in the beginning of the Republican primary, because the left leaning media was hoping to undermine the right. He was the new soap suds that was willing to pay to be made a household name. This payment was done via ratings. Once the general election came, the same media turned on him, because it was leftist. Trump undermined their credibility, since the majority did not buy what they tried to sell; Hillary. The reaction to Trump now is an attempt to regain their credibility, buy showing they can sell even bad product.

The reason CNN gets way with a format, that is loosing market share, is they have a cronyism contract with cable. They appear on all cable services and get paid a fee, even if nobody watches them. Trump may allow cable to redo this contract, by allowing cable to sell packages where people can choose what stations they wish to rent. CNN is doubling down to fight the dying of their light.

You need to stop hanging out in right wing echo chambers and spend more time in the real world.

Trump has now thrown his national intelligence adviser under the bus. Who is next? At what point will Trump run out of advisers?

Yesterday it was revealed Trump disclosed highly sensitive classified information to Russia a few days ago. Yesterday, the Trump's national security adviser denied it. Today, that same adviser has admitted classified information was given to Russia, but he now says it wasn't wrong for Trump to do so. He is now trying to explain Trump's recklessness and careless disregard sensitive information and the people who collect it as normal and customary. Unfortunately, in a Trump administration he maybe correct.

Trump's is rapidly destroying the credibility of his advisers, not to mention risking the health and well-being of every American.

Not to get too far into conspiracies, but, I have to wonder if Trump will call upon or help engineer a terrorist attack on US soil in an attempt to increase his popularity and thwart any talk of impeachment. It's not difficult to believe Trump would call upon his buddies the Ruskies to engineer a terrorist even similar to the apartment bombings in Russia which led Putin to power.

If God forbid there should be a terrorist event in the US, we need to be very skeptical. These are very dangerous times.

Trump is making Nixon and Watergate look like a starter-kit.

WASHINGTON — President Trump asked the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, to shut down the federal investigation into Mr. Trump’s former national security adviser, Michael T. Flynn, in an Oval Office meeting in February, according to a memo that Mr. Comey wrote shortly after the meeting.

“I hope you can let this go,” the president told Mr. Comey, according to the memo.

The existence of Mr. Trump’s request is the clearest evidence that the president has tried to directly influence the Justice Department and F.B.I. investigation into links between Mr. Trump’s associates and Russia.

And the drama keeps coming, Trump’s administration keeps crumbling. At some point, one would think Republicans will say enough is enough and get rid of Trump. But then again, they may drag this thing out over the course of the next few years. They are after all Republicans, and I'm sure Democrats will oblige them.

The bastards in Washington need to put the country before party. And Trump is a clear and present threat to the nation. I hope, but doubt, Republicans can do that.

Seriously: Don't bother clicking.

Okay, this part really, really bugs me, and we don't need a formal conspiracy to achieve it, but does this whole thing feel just too mechanical? I mean, could President Trump be illustrating his role more deliberately?

Between the Comey dismissal and the international intelligence debacle, isn't this like, what, twice in a week Donald Trump has gone out of his way to devastate his communications team while verging into dangerously confessional rhetoric?

It is almost like the president is performing the stations, hitting his marks.

And maybe it is also my larger perception that a good deal of the alleged societal intelligentsia are all pretty much in on the obvious, that we are now cake slow-walking deliberately attending a pretentious ritual fantasy. Neither Bill Clinton's dalliances into sexual morbidity nor George W. Bush's dalliances into morbid warmongering nor an eight-year tantrum against the first black president nor the destruction of our would-be first female president can satiate the hunger for a scapegoat. Donald Trump has an appearance of somehow accidentally trying to get impeached.

And here is the conspiracy theory: The Russian asset has performed his mission successfully. The American government, its ability to replenish itself, and its fundamental relationship to its people are all tectonically unsettled.

I've a larger suspicion about the way in which the Trump administration is wrecking American diplomacy and prestige, but come on, that can't be happening, right? He's not really lining the nation up to poodle Puti's pooper, right?

I mean, holy shit, you know? This time he only happened to accidentally betray Israel.

And, you know, pretty much rattle our intelligence community's entire international network.

Just, you know. Because.

Apparently Putin asked him to.

Yeah, what was he suppose to do? Putin asked him to.

I don't believe Trump is a Putin stooge, because if he were it would be a hell of lot more obvious ( in fact, not speculation) than it is.
Trump is just feeding his NPD esteem impulsively and has very little control over what he does or says. Ego and self aggrandizement are still in full swing but slowly adapting.
Once you give him credibility as a functional adult male you fall for the trap of judging a loony as sane.

Ask yourself, if Trump was as speculated, regards Russia what would have already happened by now...?

Also the longer Trump is in charge the less agenda the Republicans can get done. He is the Republicans greatest problem and the USA 's/World, as well for that matter...IMO

Yeah ... I don't think looking too deep into conspiracy theory is useful to be honest... he is what he is, says what he says and just simply has no idea of how to perform as a POTUS.
No "deep state", no Putin stooging, just simply Donald and family at his/their finest...

Considering the numerous stories linking Trump to financial dealings with various Russian entities, speculating that he has desires to profit from closer ties to Russia, or that Russian state actors may have acquired coercive capital by virtue of those dealings is not unreasonable. Whether it’s common goals, willful collusion, or some form of blackmail, we’ll just have to hope that our justice system still has enough integrity to expose the motivation behind this idiot’s actions.

The Trump team is fighting back against the Democrat Russian illusion game. Assange from Wikileaks has been consistently saying he did not get the DNC pre-election data from the Russians, which may have spoiled the election for Hillary. The rumor is, this information came from a young Democratic party insider Seth Rich, who was angry for the way Bernie Sanders was treated by the Hillary campaign and the DNC. They were plotting against Bernie, like they are doing with Trump; eating their own.

Last summer this informer, was murdered in the streets of Washington DC. It is being investigated by the Washington police as a robbery. However, nothing of value was taken. He still had his watch and cell phone. It sort of looks like a hit more than a robbery. The rumor was he was meeting with the FBI to give them a laptop with data in it. Maybe an FBI insider leaked the rendezvous to the DNC hit squad from the dark state.

The FBI and Comey have known about this, but did not investigate the murder, even though they are well aware of the connection to the alleged hack of the DNC. There is less circumstantial evidence connected to Trump and the Russians, than the DNC hack and this murder, yet the FBI and had no followup in term of an investigation.

This is going to become the next big gossip story. Whether right or not, it has more intrigue than the Trump and Russia mystery, because it is a murder mystery that has not yet been solved. People will be able to speculate and we can use that as an excuse to investigate the DNC for the next couple of years. In the mean time, people will want to be believe the worse. This will create something that appears to take on a life of its own. This is from the DNC playbook; Saul Alinsky, but it will be used against them.

I mentioned this last summer, but the Republicans and Trump don't like dirty pool unless they have no choice. The Democrats live by dirty pool and will die by it. The DNC media henchmen are already circling the wagons. The Trump team knows this, but they also know even a denial can small like a coverup. The new FBI director may show more interest. As long as the murder goes unsolved the investigation can continue.
