According to news here, Trump has been hospitalized at a military hospital with a mild fever.

Most likely due to breathing problems...( the need for supplemental oxygen) however you have a point....

His ignorant vain confidence may be a tad premature.. The virus typically appears to impact the greatest in the second phase which Trump hasn't experienced yet..( 2nd week )
But after his foolish comments perhaps the 34k (USA) new daily case rate will grow bigley!

Doctors gave Trump Dexamethasone, which causes side effects: "Psychosis, Delirium, Mania, changes in mood -- a feeling of extreme well-being."

Unfortunately, we won't be able to tell the difference with Trump.

Yesterday, Trump confirmed his lack of empathy for the families of those 210K dead by telling everyone not to fear the virus and to make sure it doesn't take over your life. He said he learned so much about the virus while in hospital, talking about the best equipment and medicines, the likes of which the average American would not have access to.
 
A real ''positive'' boost to America now, would be knowing the government would spend the same amount on each new covid case as that spend on Trump's treatment.
Don't go west young man, the future is mask less.

I think it's an insult to everyone to say he learned so much in such a short period.

Heck I learned physics by youtube and surgery so give me a scalpel.

Well now they can add the entire Joint Chiefs of Staff to their prayers, as they've all has to go into quarantine after one of them tested +ve.

I can't see Trump doing better at the polls after this episode. Unless Biden somehow screws up, I suppose.
 
Trump compares COVID with influenza and says that they only had 100,000 fatalities and... that is with a flu vaccine...

News: There is currently no vaccine for Covid. The number of flu deaths would be what with out the vaccine?
Compare non vaccinated flue with Covid if comparisons are relevant.
The last time we had a flu pandemic with out a vaccine would have been 1918 ish with 75 million (?) fatalities. (global population at the time was about 1.8 billion)
If an un-vacinated flu pandemic occurred today about 300 million fatalities could be expected.
