The debating skills of evolutionists

Evolution is a scientific theory.
No doubt, scientists in a thousand years will find current conceptions primitive.

But Evolution, as it stands, provides tentative answers to scientific questions.

Take for example the proliferation of species of Bacteria.
Why so many? Perhaps a Billion different species.

Any ideas creationists?

And once one studies evolution, not only does one find it impossible, but hilarious as well. But arrogance always clouds judgment.
You're a person who talks to imaginary beings and believe in the impossibility of the god and jesus myths, but you try to say others are arrogant?

You're totally wrong. Evolution is true. Your god and your made up stories of people who rise from the dead are stories for idiots to believe. You've never studied evolution. How would you know anything about it? Your misconceptions about what evolution is, shows that you have never studied it for even an hour. If you say you did, then you're a liar. Nobody who has studied it could be as ignorant of it as you are.

You never answered me. How old are you?

whereever I go someone claims I am an alt of someone else. My name is not Carrico, and I have never heard of this guy before Friday. Read my posts carefully and you will soon be able to distinguish the differences between Carrico and myself.
Your posts and carico's posts are very similar.

Both of you claim knowledge you couldn't have and
both of you actually do believe in fairy tales.
Both of you try to ignore real facts and
both of you believe in invisible beings.
Both of you use the holy babble as a crutch,
both of you have your eyes glued shut against reason.

If you're not a sock, then an idiot is the only thing left on the list!

It's ok man. The world needs idiots too. It makes the rest of us look better.

Thanks.

No. Now we know how and why it has all gone so wrong for Carico and others who view it (evolution) as a myth or fairytale.

I swear.. I am seriously considering homeschooling my children these days.:bawl:
If people like "Dan" and Carico are teaching children, there is a serious problem. Let's hope that they have a strict agenda that they have to stick to.

I'm well educated, intelligent and well traveled. I can assure you that I know exactly what religion entails. I don't care for fanatics on either side of any issue. You seem to be another fanatic, or perhaps you're only posing as one on this group.

If you knew what religion entailed, and if you're as well educated and intelligent as you purport, then you would have come up with an appropriate allegory, rather than choosing Pastor Q and religion.

I know perfectly well what an allegory is. Your statement is nothing short of an insult, as you intended it to be.

Ok. If you insist.

After near 60 years of life, I've discovered that getting that upset over anything just isn't worth it.

Yet, you now evidently appear to be getting upset.

Me: Do you think childhood religious indoctrination is abuse?

No, I don't.

Therein lies the problem. And, I don't think a well educated and intelligent person would ever condone abusive practices simply because they've become the norm. So, as it was with cannibalism.

Man, you assume way too much. You invent your own argument. I aproach the problem from a different angle than you do. I don't ignore it. Neither do I make a large issue of it as you seem to do.

It is a large issue. Religion represents bigotry, hatred, oppression and a host of other characteristics whose goal is the division and enslavement of mankind with medieval myths and superstitions. Indeed, it is a very large issue.

Btw, do us all a favor and use the quote method instead of the blue color. Quite irritating and pointless.

Not that I'm defending Carico, but isn't this the same sort of behavior you've accused and judged of me, Mr. Pot?

(Pastor Q) If you knew what religion entailed, and if you're as well educated and intelligent as you purport, then you would have come up with an appropriate allegory, rather than choosing Pastor Q and religion.

I do what I want, not what you think I should.

Yet, you now evidently appear to be getting upset.

Not in the slightest.

I don't think a well educated and intelligent person would ever condone abusive practices simply because they've become the norm. So, as it was with cannibalism.

I really don't care what you think. Again, you are trying to tell me what I think. Again, you're wrong.

Btw, do us all a favor and use the quote method instead of the blue color. Quite irritating and pointless.

You don't speak for "us". I use the blue color to to place comments within the quotes. It's handy, it works and no one else has said a word about it. You irritate me. I'll quit using the blue if you leave the group. How's that for an exchange?

What do you have a bone on for anyway? I dislike religion. I just don't make a career of it. You're getting all freaked out about it. What's the point? You haven't changed anything about it by doing so. So your fanaticism is pointless and irritating.

(Q): Not that I'm defending Carico, but isn't this the same sort of behavior you've accused and judged of me, Mr. Pot?

Man, I feel so privileged. I have my own little stalker. So cool!

Evolution is a scientific theory.

It isn't even a good hypothesis, much less a theory.

"No doubt, scientists in a thousand years will find current conceptions primitive"

why wait? It is a ridiculous fairytale believed by gullible people many of whom should know better.

"But Evolution, as it stands, provides tentative answers to scientific questions."

evolution is nothing more than a belief about the unobservable past held to most ardently by those committed to naturalism. The issue isn't whether it answers questions but rather is it supported by the data. It is not.

"Take for example the proliferation of species of Bacteria.
Why so many? Perhaps a Billion different species."

explain why you feel this question offers any support for evolution? Yes, there are lots of single celled creatures out there that are adaptable to changing environments, but they are still single celled creatures. There has been no ameoba to man evolution.

"Any ideas creationists?"

yes, I have an idea. Explain how lots of bacteria do anything to support evolution beliefs.

Wow, who could think that SF is such a haven for creationists? This thread is crawling with them!

You are just asking me the same question.
I knew you couldn't give a straight answer.

I'll ask it again.
"Why would God create a Billion different species of Bacteria?"
Go on, be a sport and have a go at answering the question instead of dodging it.

Why would God create a Billion different species of Bacteria?
The correct answer is noone knows. However it wouldn't be very creative of Him to create only one sort of bacteria and He is infinitely creative after all.

So now that I've answered your question directly perhaps you can be so kind as to return the favor.

How come bacteria have not evolved in the past 3 billion years?

Are you trying to suggest that new species of bacteria do not emerge?
Also you would need 3 billion year old samples to compare the two.

Open your damn mind. When this many people tell you something, and you haven't even considered it, what the hell do you expect from people arguing for evolution? :(
