So basically, Yorda, we are supposed to deny that anything exists and use philosophy that can never be proven correct one way or another to advance our civilzation. Or just throw our hands up, say we surrender, and slip quietly into the darkness of the universe which only exists in our minds......

Yorda you earlier said that you didn't study philosophy...I hate to be the one to tell you this, but metaphysics is an old philosophical concept that has since been pushed aside by more logical and less dated movements. Sorry...

I just spend an hour reading this thread fo the first time and I must say it was interesting. Yes interesting but not enlightening.I cannot agree with most of what you say Yorda exept one thing "the Big Bang never happened".
One statement you made caught my eye "physicist are not stupid, they are just afraid of the truth". This brought to mind a humourous incident that happened 4 years ago. A good friend of mine was in London on a buisiness trip in August 2001 at the time of Fred Hoyle's funeral, and the hotel he checked in to just happened to be one where many of the scientists from all over the world who had come for Hoyle's funeral was staying. So after perrusing all the fameus names in the registry when he was sighning in; he turned to a guy standing next to him and asked; are you one of the scientists who is here for Hoyle's funeral? yes was the answer. Well, you guys have spend the last 40 year batling and arguing with Hoyle and his SST theory, why would you bother to cme to his funeral? Answer; " WE JUST WANT TO MAKE DAM SURE HE IS DEAD" BTW it turned out to be a very memorable stay for my friend. He got to meet and talk to many of the famous people there during the next 3 days.

Hello everyone,
I also just spent the last hour reading this thread for the first time. I just wanted to read about interesting astronomy topics, but when I came across Yorda's post, I thought "who the hell is this guy?" Despite people ripping his "ideas" to shreds he is relentless. This made me curious as to what else he has posted so I checked his posts (I encourage everyone else here to do the same) and come to find out, all of his posts in all different threads are rampant with ignorance, self-righteousness, and his "you are wrong everything goes back to the mind" idea. The more people rip him to shreds the more he comes up with nonsense retorts. It seems he only wants to argue and take the "intellectual" out of intellectual discussion/debate.
Just thought you all should know instead of wasting your time arguing with him.

If you don't think BB happened, how do you think universe was created, where did the matter come from? Do you think it has always existed? How?
