The 6th Harry Potter~

i downloaded an ebook on gnutella, but i dont have anything to check it against, so if anyone can give me the first sentence of the book, jsut so i know...

"it was nearing midnight when the prime minister was sitting alone in his office, reading a long memo....."

I read it before the release date because one of my friends works at a book store, I also work at a library and we got it two days before the release date lol. I tried downloading the ebooks but they have all been fake for me. It's a good book.

Has anyone read the book?I haven't got it :(
Good God how can you not got it. There are everywhere. The Barnes and Noble near where I live has a huge stock of the book at 40% off.
Anyway I find it sad becuase seeing the news about kids and adults wating in line for like 5 hours just to get a minutes of pleasure of getting the book. I say just wait for a few days. It will be everywhere. Samething happened with the 5th book. The shit was everywhere after a week.

I went to get one at midnight at my local Books-a-Million but when we got there we decided to eff it and we went to Wal-Mart instead. No line and no wait. Such a good book.

But Alas the demise of Dumbledore and at the hands (or should I say wand?) of that greasy snake Snape!!! Ooooh if I get my hands on him I'll give him such a pinch!!

Read the book :)

I enjoy the Harry potter series mostly because I read the first book when I was a bit younger, and the books seem to have matured along with me. I read the sixth book in a week which isn't too bad, I read it before bed and at the gym. The series isn't for everyone. I'm surprised there hasn't been a flame war yet. There is nothing better than reading a good book.

I'm mainly annoyed at missed opportunities. Opportunities to really explore Harry's feelings for Ginny for example. Or not relegating Hermione solely to the role of jealous-moper-after-Ron.

I'm also annoyed that it's quite possible that Rowling originally planned both books five and six to be relatively short, but has been prevailed upon by her publishers to make sure that they're at least two reading-days in length, and consequently filled them up with hundreds of pages of irrelevant guff. The last 150 pages or so of HBP, however, do go somewhere towards making up for this fault, as it's Rowling on as good a form as she was with Goblet.

You're right, this episode is a bit of a 'Goes Nowhere Does Nothing' book
Bit of a shame reelly!
Good tho!

It's not just for the exciting story, it's about the lives of the characters in general. That is what makes the story so captivating.

You have no idea how much that made me laugh. Funny as hell for some reason.

Hey all,

Well, now that the cat's out of the bag about Snape, question is, is he really a traitor and is Dumbledore really dead? Not too try and wonder too much, but Snape did NOT kill Harry when given the opportunity, and Fawkes' lament could come back to be Dumbledore's resurrection. Thoughts anyone?

Second thing is I'm just wondering where she's going to take the series now. Can she really close up all her loose ends she just introduced in by writing just a Book 7? Or are we know going to start the new series where Harry is away from Hogwarts for years tracking down umm...mysterious objects (trying not to spoil any thing else for any one).

Maybe we're not close to the end of the saga... maybe... we've only just begun (sinister laughter cut short by coughing gasps)

the halfblood prince is snape for who that asked.... His mother, eillien PRINCE was a wizard, and his dad MR. SNAPE married her. he called himself that so they still think hes full blood.....

At the white tomb i thought that Dumbledor was gonna come out of the tomb as a ghost. Anyways he doesnt need a wand to do magic.

S. black's brother died after getting a
mysterious object

Dumbledore is not coming back. JKR has often had this come up in q&a, and has repeatedly made it absolutely clear that death means death.
