Probably. Democrats who fear a normal Republican candidate should be shouting "Hallelujah!" in the streets if that happens, but can't because the celebration would be misconstrued.

The 1,000 headed dragon of Trump is the great threat still befouling of the underwear of the majority: ("Bloody hell, lads, how many of them do we have to hack off before the beast finally becomes disoriented? Bejesus, you'd think it would at least have bled to death by now. Arrgh -- one of the toothy appendages has seized my ankle -- I'm done for lads. Fight on, fight on!)

Yep. Republicans celebrate every time Trump wins a legal argument that he should be allowed to be on the ballot - but he's the one candidate Biden can (probably) beat. So if their goal is a republican president in a year, they would be well advised to support efforts that keep him off the ballot.
