What more does it have to offer? Prosperity? Freedom? Wealth? Transparency? Infrastructure? Name ONE measurable quality it has "more of" than any western nation?

I didn't like it in the US either. I was depressed and unhappy there. I'm happier at home in India. Maybe he has similar feelings.

Can you protect me against him, please.
Yeah, that would matter if he actually GREW UP THERE. He didn't. You, grew up in a nation that's on a path towards freedom, ingenuity, and wealth, who's entire political makeup is motivated towards humanist qualities. On the other hand, you have Draq who's obsessed with a nation he has, effectively, never been to, which nation continues to dissolve individual freedoms with every passing year! Wow. Where do I sign up!

So? let him. What does it matter? This thread is not a competition. I would rather live among the Shiv Sena too. At least, them, I can understand.
More like personal profit.
When did you leave the US? And why? Now all those warnings I gave my son at Purdue about the crazy woman from India were for nothing!I didn't like it in the US either. I was depressed and unhappy there. I'm happier at home in India.
Duh. Letting him isn't what irritates me. It's the pure, distilled stupidity. No gays in Russia and me being "secretly" straight.
You just described every single nation, region and municipality on planet Earth.

I do have the same feelings.
i cant see how you would even know russia. from your responses it doesnt sound like you seriously want to move.
It was you that introduced the gay issues. For whatever reason he likes Russia better. Why does it matter what it is?
Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely etc.
i just dont think you are being honest.
Nice dodge, and virtually a non sequitur to my point which contrasted with your attempt to create a unique juxtaposition. "I like this place, despite its materialism." Which is true of every place, and therefore an irrelevent statement. Might as well have said, "The people in India breath oxygen, but I like 'em anyway." Yeah, so?
~String
The point was politics is also dirty in India, its not the humanism in the politics that makes me comfortable here.
what would qualify me as being honest? Why would I lie? :bugeye:
No. It's because it's home, which was the very point I was making. India is your home. Draq has no home because he's set himself up as some faux outcast from a nation--while filled with flaws--is still light years ahead of the place he wants to go--which place, I remind you--he's essentially never been to.

you may be exaggerating about going back in your teens. how did the russians treat you?
Maybe you missed my edit. I was also comfortable in Saudi Arabia. Does it matter if he is more comfortable elsewhere than home?
