Sock Puppets- rules?

I had a sock puppet on another forum, which was against their rules. I did because it is a special interest site and could be a bit slow at times so I used to talk to myself. It was great fun but I'd always end up caning myself, I'd never hold back and would abuse the living shit out of myself. It was like two snarling dogs tearing each other up. I used to laugh myself silly doing it.
I got permabanned very quickly, mind you, on a drunken rampage ( I was pissed off at their lack of humour) I infiltrated the Mod section and went a little overboard.
Anyway, definitely don't have one here, couldn't be bothered, can't type that fast.

I bet you do allot of laughing all alone in front of the computer screen/ surfing for porn.

Sad when life doesn't amuse as much/

Hello, nice to meet you too.

What is allot?

Make it good buddy or you'll go down in a screaming heap.

Ooh, he's an aggressive little bugger this particular 'un, innee. I think he may have found his motivation.

Mind you, there is a teeny danger that our hero might find himself being typecast.

I'm not sure if I have this right.

If you set up 2 accounts and 1 gets banned, you can still use the other.
But if you have one account, get banned, you set up another account, that account will also be banned.

Wouldn't it then make sense for every one to immediately set up multiple accounts?

Not to bore anybody with the technicals, but it boils down to your ISP, if it has a dynamic or static IP. They can ban effectively only static IPs, dynamic IP like AOL can not be banned because it is always changing and they would be banning innocent users too.

Although even with static IP one can find websites that gives you a fake IP. Anyway, most people don't get what I a talking about, the bottomline is, if you are smart enough, you can find a way around the ban...

Another sock puppet popped up today..seems like a whack a mole doesn't it.

The thing is, it is far easier to whack the mole than to create it in the first place. And a lot more fun, too!
