One of the C-130s broke formation and headed for the new drop zone.
 
The radioman and Almont came back. "Sir, the paratroopers are coming." "Good. We'll need to asisst them."
 
Shogun did a Herbst on full afterburner, the three fighters responded with a lag displacement roll roll attack. Shogun pulled up and did a tight loop, going on the tail of one of the SUs.
 
The SU banked left and right, then dived. Shogun was not shaken off and dived the the hostile. He tried to get the SU in his crosshairs. he other three moved in on Shogun.
 
Shogun broke off his chase and pulled up and dived, going behind the SUs. The SUs split up into different directions. The Su-37 pulled up vertically.
 
Shogun went after the Su-37. The rest pulled up and went after Shogun. Shogun tried to shoot the Su-37 down, it banked back and forth and Shogun did the same, then it did a loop downwards, Shogun followed suit, but did it differently to intercept the Su-37.
 
The Su-37 sped up, messing up Shogun's interception, he then pulled up, Shogun did a Herbst. A Su-27 got a lock on Shogun and quickly fired a missile. Shogun then turned and dived vertically, at the right moment, he pulled up vertically and did a very tight loop. Shogun grunted in pain again.

"Yamato 1, be advised that the C-130 might come into the hostile's combat radius,"

The AWACS then alerted the C-130,

"Change course immediately!"
 
"This is a direct order!"

Shogun then did a Herbst to get on the offensive.

"Yamato 1, protect the C-130, I repeat, protect the C-130,"

Shogun then said,

"I will, by any means necessary,"

He got right behind two SUs, and behind the entire enemy formation. Two others did a Thach Weave with them, while the Su-37 did a cobra at a higher altitude, slowing himself down, in case Shogun tried to do a cobra. Shogun dived and did a loop trying to get behind the Su-37.
 
As Cobra 1 returned, it entered the hostile's combat radius. The enemies changed formation. They all broke formation, split up and tried to get behind Shogun, Shogun dived.

Four fighters went after Shogun, the Su-37 stayed at his altitude, overseeing it all. Shogun then did a high speed lag displacement roll attack. The enemies split up and did barrel roll attacks in different directions. Shogun did a split s, the enemies responded with yo-yos and lag displacement roll attacks. Shogun then pulled up and did a loop, getting behind the enemies. 2 banked to the left and 2 to the right, slowing down, Shogun went after one pair. the others tried Thach Weaves. Shogun did a cobra to get behind them again. The enemies did split s and faced Shogun, Shogun was out of gunnery range, he pulled up, but the enemies followed him and managed to lock on to Shogun briefly and fired numerous missiles. Shogun was attempting to evade them, then the C-130 came within visual range. The Su-37 went after it. Shogun did elaborate maneuvers to evade the missiles, he flew straight, and the C-130 was high above and behind him. The Su-37 went in for the kill, he also heard the pilot yell that they were locked on. Shogun had a decision to make, to save the C-130 and risk pulling dangerous Gs or to safely evade the missiles. Shogun chose to save the C-130. Shogun then yelled,

"Tenno Hekai Banzai! Time for me to dance with the angels!"

He then pulled his nose back 135 degrees at full speed and flew while rolling and firing, a Su-27 moved into position to attack the C-130, Shogun snapped his nose down too quickly. He then went unconscious due to G-LOC. He shot down the Su-37. Reinforcements came later, 7 fighters came to take care of the rest of the SUs. Shogun autoejected.
