Sciforums Fleet

by the way, do you have ventrilo?

Yeah, I will apply later, seeing now I have a sling on....

Dislocated my shoulder during rugby practice. Some idiot didn't know how to take a tackle the right way, I was supposed to teach him the "fun stuff", I tackled him at full speed ( which is slightly faster than 12 secs/100 meters ), the dude didn't take it the right way or even gave proper resistance and acted like an idiot, after I tackled him, I tripped and fell. Well he broke his knee ( somehow, didn't ask him in which way ), so he didn't end up with nothing.

I can't really type that fast with a sling on my right arm, so I will start posting more actual story posts in this thread after I take it off, which should be soon...I hope. This will be probably my longest post until it comes off....

I was walking down the street in the great cavern. We were on...in the massive volcanic planet. Adder had been sent to the northern settlement, I was sent to this small little village under ground.

It was a village under a cavern made from a previous volcanic eruption, it was cool, all things considered.

"Come." the guide told me

He ushered me into a building and secured the flap.

"Hello, we hear you are with the capital resistance." one of the old men inside said

"What's left of it, our bases are in ruins and everyone has been dispersed back to the populace, for the moment." I said

The men talked to each other.

"Look, as much as we would like to help you out we simply can't, we have to keep up the quota for the Holians." they said

"What quota?" I asked

"Its one of the secrets this village has hidden for hundreds of years. But the holians recently found out." one of the old men said

He drew out a sword, a beautiful sword. It looked like glass with a black core running through the center.

"We call it obsidian diamond. It was left from the volcano, we find massive pieces, some large enough to create swords, they take years and years to shape and cut. But once they are made they are incredible. They have many times more carbon in the blade then normal diamond..." the man said

"Because of the volcano?" I asked

"Yes. The military found out and are demanding we start making them swords." he said

"I thought you said they took years to make." I said

"That's our problem, we don't have the force to resist and we don't have the ability to meet their quota." the man said

"What if we could help?" I asked

"I don't see how that is possible, but if you can then we will consider it." the man said.

@ Shogun - no offense... but how did you hurt YOURSELF tackling him because he took it wrong? Just.... confused.

Last time I tackled someone full-bore, it was someone trying to steal from a friend. I hit the guy hard enough to skid him a few yards face first on the dirt WITH me on top of him... granted, I went shoulder to his back and basically slammed him into the dirt but still... just confused.

Probably it wasn't the tackle but the landing that did it. I had a friend who tripped running while carrying something heavy and somehow he landed where the angle of impact dislocated the shoulder.

Well, lets just put it this way....

We were indoors....on wrestling mats, there were clearance without mats on both sides...

Yeah...when someone takes it the wrong way ( aka walk or job backwards or gives no and futile resistance )......

You kinda fall on the floor and its kinda pretty hard.

My last full tackle was when me and two of my friends ( I was playing safety to sub for one of my buds that day ) tackled seven fucking huge farmboys ( trust me, country kids are a pain in the ass to play, we got wrecked that day btw ). You have to remember this is junior football, only place this can work. Took them down, but when I took off my mouth guard, I was spitting blood.

Out of Game: Sorry I took so long online schooling.

In Game: I leveled my pistol at the man standing across the forcefield from me. "who the hell are you supposed to be now?"

where are you right now. Weren't you invading some planet? Then you somehow reconnect with some friendlies.

Tiberius stood in front of the door. He was hesitant to go in. It had been a long time since he'd seen her, and it wasn't on the best of terms.

-----------

Omega reached the bridge of the Aggressor. He looked around and saw a woman standing over near the command chair. Curious, he walked over to see her.

I enabled speech recognition on my computer, once I get used to it I will start posting again :D

Misaka's life was a sad one indeed, Shogun can see it in her eyes. Shin and Moskva was moved by it as well, it is in their eyes. He however have seen too much of it, some are even caused by his hands and words. Him with whatever bit of humanity left in him closed his eyes and kept everything in check, even he still have remnants of his soul. Her family were former Vichi nobility, barons, from the House of Schulz, they were happy, content and quite sucessful, her father was the Baron General of the Frontier Defense Marines 120th Infantry Division. During a family vacation, a terroist attack claimed her family, save for her and her brother, Lieutant Jospeh Cato. Shogun comforted her, it is the least he can do, someone taught him how to do so, someone special and close to him.

"Wait, you mean he was your brother?" Shin was surprised,

"Yes,"

"You two changed surnames didn't you?" Shin never knew that he was her brother, well he only knew them for a short period of time.

"My brother suspected that we were targets of assasination, so to protect ourselves, I changed mine to Mikoto and him to Cato, completely different from Schulz," she replied,

Shogun then interjected,

"Your family lost the noble title right?"

"I don't think so, well we gave our claim up by changing surnames, I'm not sure though,"

"So as far as you know, you are still nobility,"

"Yeah, but we gave it up, we are sick of politics, scheming, and assasinations, we wanted to get away from all that, we are much happier living as common citizens," she said emotionally, Shogun then pressed on,

"Is Vichi nobility really that corrupt?"

"Well, it isn't that bad inside the ranks of Vichi nobility, there are still problems, but not as bad as some of the other nations, the main issue is outside, foriegn threats,"

"Is that so?" Shogun paused for a while and said, "that is quite and insight into nobility,"

Shogun picked up his cup and then the ship shook violently, a vase flew towards them like a bullet, Shogun grabbed Misaka to protect her and kicked with vase. It was a shame, it was made by someone special, and one of the few people in this universe that he feared. He would have to worry about that later.

"Get down!" Shogun ordered pressing Misaka down and shielding her, his armor can take the hits easily.

A few more objects flew towards them, miscalleous objects laying around his quarters. Shin and Killgore blocked them psionically.

After a about five minutes, the shaking stopped,

Shogun stood up and helped Misaka up and then said,

"Its alright, its over now,"

Dispite the ship ceased shaking, Misaka was still shaking. Shogun thought that it might have reminded her of the terroist attack on her family, or just that she have never experienced something like this before.

Then an urgent message appeared on his holoprojector,

"Admiral, are you alright? We just passed by a singularity,"

"I'm fine, give me a damage assesment as soon as possible,"

Then there was silence, he was curious and nervous, he ran through all the possibilities quickly in his head,

"Sir.......your sister....Princess Cecilia vi Yamato is in the infirmary, she broke her shoulder and blacked out,"

Shogun breathed a sigh of relief, not that his sister is injured, but that it wasn't anything as serious as he speculated, well to him that is. To others, she was a princess of the Vichi Empire, so of course it is a serious issue.

Misaka was stunned, she could have never imagined Shogun to be an Imperial Prince.

"My lord, forgive me, I didn't know," Misaka knelt down and said bowing her head,

"Ah yes, you were unaware and I didn't declare so, there is nothing to forgive," Shogun said, "Please rise," he was taught that he was supposed to bend down and help her up, so he did so.

Shin and Killgore bowed their heads,

"Your highness, we never knew,"

"That is due to the fact that I never announced it," Shogun smiled and then said with a hand on Shin's shoulder, "It is a casual situation, there is no need for formalities, plus this is an ESSCPA ship, not Vichi,"

"Yes sir,"

Shogun then said,

"I didn't know myself, until the start of the Holian War," he paused and then continued, "frankly, I was more surprised then you were when Im found that I'm Prince Shogun vi Yamato,"

"Son of Prince Yorimoto vi Yamato 7th in line to the Vichi Imperial throne and Princess Sakura Xenturia, 8th Princess of the Great Xenturian Empire," Misaka asked, she was educated in the aristocracy of the Empire, she is familiar with the royal prepositions. She didn't expect him to be from the line of vi Yamato. That puts Shogun as the son of the Blitz of Vichi.

"Yes, it seems you are more familiar with such dealings then myself," it is to be expected, Shogun is relatively new in such aspects.

"I didn't know that his highness had a son,"

"Neither did I until I found out its me, I wasn't born a prince, I was born and raised a super soldier,"

"My lord, Dame of Anemoi, Lady Marianne Schulz at your service," she knelt down in a Vichi Imperial salute. "My lord, I changed more then my surname, forgive me,"

"It was nessecary and fit at the time, there is nothing to apologize for, and would you mind clarifying why you knelt?" Shogun was confused, he had no idea what was going on, if only a certain someone was here....

"My lord, my father the Baron of Anemoi instructed me that in the event that anything was to happen to him, me and my brother are instructed to seek refuge with and serve the House of vi Yamato," she then said, "Please sire, in memory of my father's deeds and his service, please take me in, my brother is nowhere to be found, I'm afraid I'm the last of the line,"

Shogun honestly didn't know what was going on, it all happened too quickly. His older sister and his parents knew how to deal with his, he is not even sure that Cecilia can. Well there is another who can that is on this ship...

"Cera," Shogun said without looking, there was only one person with the guts to open his door without announcing,

"I've brought Cecila here,"

"I thought she was at the infirmary,"

"Yes, she was, until she asked me to bring her here,"

Shogun then went and helped his sister to the couch, it looks like she sprang her ankle as well. He helped her lie down. She smiled and then said,

"I saw the picture of Misaka while reviewing a briefing, her name is not Misaka, its-"

"Lady Marianne Schulz, Dame of Anemoi, she told me, but how did you know?"

"We met before,"

Waking up in a unfamiliar room I rolled out of bed tensed for a fight. However looking around I soon realized that there were no guards and that my pistol was on the bedside table. Relaxing I walked over and turned on the lights. I opened the door and checked the hallway. After closing the door behind me I picked up my pistol and strapped it to my belt. walking out into the hallway I snuck down the passageway until I came to a console on the wall. Stopping I pulled up the ship schematics. I didn't recgonize the design at all. locating the bridge I pulled out my pistol and headed for the access ladder to the bridge. Reaching the bridge I opened the hatch and crawled out from under the door letting it shut behind me. Coming out of the alcove pistol raised I came face to face with my first officer walking torwards me. "Johnson? What are you doing here?" He stood there for a moment before answering, "This is your new ship we found you floating in space." lowering my pistol I sat in he captain's chair. "so where are we going?" My first officer turned towards me in his chair. "We were ordered to go and support Omega and his fleet by intercepting any patrol ships and destroying them before they report us." "alright then, ETA?" the helmsman turned around and reported "12 minutes sir." Looking at the viewport I waited for my chance to test out my new ship.

Tiberius spoke up.

"So how long's it been?"

"Not long enough." Tifa replied.

Tiberius nodded, maybe in agreement, but mostly because he saw that answer coming.

"About nine years." she finally said.

"Wow. And you never thought to look me up?"

Tifa looked him dead in the eyes.

"I didn't look up you? You're the one who left me you jerk!"

Everyone on the deck was staring.

"I admit, at the time, I was, having doubts."

"Now you decide to tell me?"

Tiberius started to think he was the bad guy.

"Yeah. Because I figure telling you now is better than not at all."

It was going to be a long ride.
