Scientists to barcode world's species?!

No it isn't. What makes you believe that? However, over half of the posters here apparently are under a serious misconception what DNA barcoding is.
Again, barcoding is merely a tool to taxonomically classify organisms by analyzing (sequencing) conserved DNA sequences of the given organisms. This has been done in large scale with prokaryotes for decades (using 16s rRNA as a marker). Eukaryotic databases are still a bit lacking in comparison.
