I've got the answer to the ocean tides on earth. The sun and the moon alternatively take baths at opposite sides of the earth.
When they lower themselves the sea level rises remarkably at the other end of the earth.

Therefore I propose that the earth is neither round or flat. It's shaped more like a bathtub. How else could it stop the water from draining off the sides?
