Resources For Learning About The Jewish People and Judaism

You have repeated the same thing to many times . Why ?

I was unsure if the post before my last post suggested I was still reconsidering my ancestry when I meant I had been reconsidering in the past when I had been flip flopping about my ancestry.

My next step in researching my ancestry may be to get an ancestry DNA test. I have considered them in the past but now I am opening up to the idea again.

So I wanted to apologize for all of the repetitive posts about my ancestry. I will try to keep the repetitive posts to a minimum.

I was surprised by how much I was able to find out about my ancestry by googling my last name origin and reading different articles.

I gave it some thought and I decided I was not being so much repetitive with my ancestry posts but rather I was trying to be thorough and up to date.

I am not one hundred percent sure what it means to have Jewish ancestry. I am not sure if Judaism is just a religion or if it is also a bloodline too. I was raised Christian and not Jewish so that is why I am confused about how I may be Jewish also.

I am happy with what I have found out about my ancestry so far. It was a little difficult for me to accept that I may be Jewish considering how Jews have sadly been treated in the past but I am slowly warming up to the idea.

I have given my religious beliefs some thought and I have decided I am atheist. I believe science is the best path to understanding the universe.

Actually I do not believe I have Jewish ancestry. I have never heard about it in the family. I remember asking both my grandparents if we were Jewish and they both said no.

So I do not believe I am Jewish anymore but nothing else about what I believe about my ancestry has changed.

Sorry about being a bit obsessive about my ancestry for the last few posts. For some reason it is hard for me to accept that I may be Jewish. The resources I have seen suggest I may be.
