Reconsidering Crop Circles...

LOL! Benjamin Radford? The darling of the pseudoskeptical community? You name it. UFOs, ghosts, crop circles, esp, sasquatch, Radford is there on the front lines trying to debunk it. Because he just knows such things don't exist. Plus he makes money at it. He's got a sterling "sciency" reputation to uphold afterall.

haha Don't shoot the messengerrrr ;)

*shrug* There's still a lot of unknowns that it seems could stand to be answered - as an example, I'd love to see a crop circle before-and-after from a Satellite View perspective.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHSAHAHA!!!!!!!!
Is that the noise a sheep makes when it get too near a crop circle? Must be something to do with those ''strange energies''
Worzel Gummidge and Aunt Sally making-out, result crop circles. Say no more. Cup of tea and a piece of cake.

The crop circles are quiet artistic really.
Probably good for the local economy as well as I expect folk would come to look and have a snak at the nearest town a pint or two maybe.
Follow the money.
They must take a lot of effort and some willing workers...
And no doubt there are folk who write books, articles etc who make an earn from these things.

I used to believe in crop circles back in 2001-2002.
And you still do now. Only somebody as credulous as you are would continue to believe in something so thoroughly debunked.

Upon further research I learned that about 20% of crop circles show signs of being authentic. The exploded nodules on the stems. The strange energies sensed by people around them. And the white orbs filmed around them.
Oh yeah. Exploded nodules means they must be made by non-humans, for sure.

It's called being open minded, which outside the debunking community is actually considered a virtue.

Right. So how are humans exploding those nodules, and bending canola stems that are like celery?

It's a virtue to keep an open mind until you have enough data to make a reasoned judgment. After that, your open-mindedness starts to look like wilful blindness.

You're obviously assuming I'm just going to take your word for it about the exploded nodules etc. If we actually wanted to find an explanation (assuming one turns out to actually be necessary), then we'd need to start digging into the actual structure of the nodules and the canola stems etc., to find out whether the exploding and bending, that you claim is only possible from beings out of this world, can be explained in some more mundane manner.

From past experience, I know that you will have no interest in pursuing such an investigation properly. And I am certainly not motivated to do so on your behalf, knowing that whatever the evidence you will ignore it if it doesn't fit with your preferred scenario.

...

Also, I missed this:

The strange energies sensed by people around them. And the white orbs filmed around them.
You ought to know by now that subjective "energies" that people tell you they sense are another typical piece of anecdotal evidence that is of little to no value as evidence of extraterrestrial activity.

And those white orbs are probably just the typical "ghost orbs"caused by reflections of camera flashes off dust particles, or similar.
