Quantifying gravity's mechanism

I haven't seen any anti-gravity.

neither have I

but I don't base my argument on what I have seen but on empirical experiments that have been done

That would be where the effect of gravity would be repulsive. What you're calling anti-gravity is an electromagnetic device which applies a force to the thing being levitated. Not gravity in a repulsive event.

actually its not electromagnetic device but a high voltage device

Cosmological Constant/metric = Dark Energy/repulsive

In the appropriate metric which includes the cosmological constant as a component [the cosmological metric] the cosmological component term could be so dominant in the description of of the local gravitational field surrounding an object in a scalar quantum field that inflation will occur. That was the idea that Alan Guth and Andrei Linde had that led to the inflation theory. Gravity causes the expansion during the inflation event.

Brucep, I intuitively like your approach with offering valid info.

I'm aware of repulsive( anti-gravity like ) dark energy develpoments since when, 2001 based on accelearting expansion, however, don't you mean to or need to distingush--- differrentiate ---the inflationary period( at whatever speeds that may have occurrred at ),

from our current observed accelerating expansion?

Maybe I'm just behind the times on those two scenarios i.e. since the discovery of dark energy repulsion/cosmic constant, then inflation in a sense never ended or just has not slowed as much as we used to think it has slowed.

Most formula will go over my head, so fine if you have them to post, but if you can explain and or elaborate with words and pictures is best for me.

thx, r5

Oh you are behind the times alright , way behind

Are any of the old timers who participated in this thread still around, somewhere? If you want to pick up where you left off, be my guest.

I can't be bothered to read it but I did like the idea of push gravity.
I worked up the idea only to find LeSage did so in 1745.
But folk think it is a crazy idea yet I still like it.
I don't see it as in conflict with GR but GR folk hate it.

Thanks Alex. When I read through the old thread it is obvious that most of the active members from 2013 have moved on. I thought some might get an alert when a new post showed up in an old thread that had been so active back then, giving them encouragement to come back, and maybe get active in the community again. Of course that won't work with banned members, and my threads were often focal points for controversy between those who know everything, and those who question everything, lol.

You worked up the idea of push gravity, thats fine, but please tell how it does not conflict with GR?

Well that is in my mind.
I have thought of GR as trying to describe the movement of space and how space flows I suppose that is my crude way of expressing it and its (GR) math describes that reality ..the same reality I see as push gravity which is a flow of space but it lacks any math.
My fundamental belief is that there is no force of attraction.
I believe all perception that we have and call attraction comes from a one way force.
I have reasons but nothing scientific.
I just can not envisage a machinery in nature where attraction could work simply because messages would have to be a two way system...

The premise of the thread depicted gravity as a two way street, in the sense that particles and objects are composed of gravitational wave energy with two components, inflowing and out flowing. The directionally inflowing component comes from distant objects, and leads back to the source object. The out flowing gravitational wave energy from those distant objects originates as the spherically emitted gravitational wave energy that, hypothetically, is emitted by all particles and objects. Particles and object feed each other, and the space between them is filled with gravitational wave energy coming and going in all directions.

Long after this thread was originated, there was confirmation of the out flowing component, when LIGO detected gravitational waves; the out flowing wave energy from a massive black hole event. The pattern in those waves showed an inswirling signature painted by the massive distant event, that was detected at the LIGO instrument; a chirping that culminated at the moment of collision.
